Overall it was a very good experience. The collection of food was reasonably large, including crab legs, sushi, several soups, hibachi station, and coffee. In terms of cost, it was a fantastic deal— we spent $35 for two people, and the price includes soft drinks, tea, and coffee. The servers were really nice. The interior was clean and well organized.
Things I didn’t like: the foods had no labels, the dessert collection was limited, and the restroom was not very clean.

They have shrimp during the weekend, which is great. The food was delicious, and the buffet was very clean. The lady who worked there kept asking if we needed anything or what drinks she could get for us.

This was my first time visiting so I asked the man behind the register if I may look at the food before I pay to eat he said yes I didn’t know the man was following me two steps behind. The food looked fresh and hot, so I decided to stay, do not go for the salad bar, as you can see in the photo of someone posted that’s exactly what it looks like. not a great big selection, food was okay, some dishes hot and fresh others dishes were lukewarm and okay. Amazingly the fried chicken what’s the best Chinese chicken I’ve ever had. Service was extremely poor, I felt discriminated the waitress served everyone else’s drink (non black) Never gave me a refill or told me hello but she did say thank have a nice day once I left the $10 tip on the table when I was done. I would like to go back overall I did enjoy myself.. but I do not feel welcome

The food was terrible because it wasn’t fresh. The meat smells bad, the fruit is almost bad, and the food has no taste at all. The service sucked. They didn’t label their food, so half the time you don’t know what you’re eating. When they run out of a dish of food, we asked them to refill it and they refused because they want to save money. Not many people were there. The bathroom is dirty, and there are puddles of pee so when you try to go, you stand on pee. So use the bathroom before going to this place. Also, the stalls are covered in writing and have some “colorful language” on them. So that’s why this restaurant is only a one star.

We were looking for something new, and we found Nuevo on Google, and we weren’t disappointed. Northlake’s best kept secret! The fried chicken was a tad overcooked, and the fried shrimp we still don’t know what to make of that. Overall it was a good experience!

Experienced blatant Racism here. We just left this place without eating. We paid and went to find a table. We wanted to sit in a booth where we could see our kids as they went back and forth to get food. We’re an interracial family (black & white). Our children are black. When we tried to sit at a particular booth, 2 of the Asian women immediately said no and kept pushing us to the very back, off to the side in an area where they had a sign that said ‘Section Closed’. They tried to make an excuse and said that they wanted us back there because it was too loud in the booth we preferred BUT there was barely any noise or people in that area. They insinuated that our black children would be loud and disturb the few that were there. It made us all so uncomfortable and my son ended up in tears. My son is on the spectrum as well. We immediately got a refund and left. This is NOT a place that’s friendly to black families. PLEASE STAY AWAY AND DO NOT GIVE THIS ESTABLISHMENT YOUR MONEY. My kids are somewhat traumatized from this experience. No one should ever experience other people’s blatant ignorance and racism. DO BETTER!!!!!!

At this place called New China Buffet we were completing discriminated, when we stopped and attempted tobeat. We tried to enter the restaurant. We were about to entered the restaurant and we were driscrimated in the most disrespectful way.
We were entering the restaurant with a person who was litterally coming out of the hospital and unable to eat anything. The lady up front asked us how many people and we responded 4, because the 5th person was not gonna be able to even try the food because of the medical restrictions. And she literally responded ” if you use one of your tables, ” You will pay for it, even if you dont eat” we respectfully tried to asked her to understand the situation and why the person wasn’t gonna be able to be left in the car. And she said again. It doenst matter if you eat or not, you still have to pay”
I told her that she can’t charge for that and she said the sign is clear ” if you entered here, you will pay” . I asked her if i cpuld speak to her manager and she said that there was no manager at that place, i requested to speak with someone else and she literally responded that she was the only one there. I will find legal advise about this issue that violates a disable person’s rights.
This is absolutely not acceptable.

Awsome place to go when you want variety of dishes from rice to fried shrimp. Buffet style at is best. The dessert area needs a little boost but still does the job.
You will get a server helping you with drinks and making sure your disguarded left overs don’t get in your way.
