Recently visited the Nuevo Cantina for Valentines Day with my pretty Valentine/wife and my daughter. The beverages were creative and food was good. Waited for the table because I messed up the reservation date, but they accommodated us in a few minutes. Service was quick. The 3 sauce accompaniment were great. Ordered Chicken taco, Shrimp Taco, Veggie Burrito Bowl. Bowls were tasty. Chicken was a little dry for my preference, but the green sauce fixed it. Will visit again.
Right across the Delta & LIT pubs so plenty of activity on the street so you will not get bored waiting for your table. Parking in the building & on the street 2 blocks away for $8 for 2hrs – not bad !!

Amazing!! We came for Valentines’s Day. The food was delicious, the server was always there when we needed her, the food came out SO fast! We had the margarita flight and it was soooo good! The Birria heart taco and fajitas were so yummy! I can’t complain about anything, we will definitely be coming back!

Grabbed dinner and drinks here before a show at The Straz and it was perfect. Quick Service, Yummy Food & Drinks, and Great Service! And such a Fun Atmosphere too!!! We made a reservation as we were on a time schedule – recommend if you are also going before a show as they can get busy. Will Definitely Be Back

Saw the ad on social media for their Valentines Day promotion and decided to do something cute for my 16-year-old daughter – everything about the evening was perfect! We got right in and sat on the patio which was completely decked out with so many cute vignettes and decor. The heart-shaped Birria pizza was so tasty (not cinnamon-y) and my daughter loved the consommé. My drink was presented beautifully and was so tasty, we will definitely be back back back again!

Had an amazing time there. The service was very professional and on point. Our server brought out a great sampler flight full of flavor. birria taco yummy, birria pozole que rica. Atmosphere was clean and again my Puerto Riquena server did a great job in providing a smile on our faces. Laughter is a must here.

My son had a project for his Spanish class, and I reached out to Nueva Cantina on N. Franklin St. in downtown Tampa for a short interview. The manager, Heather, was helpful from the very beginning. She told me the best day to come in, welcomed us, and was more than willing to record a video answering my son’s questions. Not only did she participate, but her answers were thoughtful, detailed, and truly went above and beyond what was expected.
We’ve visited this restaurant before, and my sons always enjoy the food ~ the tacos are consistently fresh and delicious. Today, our server Megan also provided good service. But the reason I’m giving this restaurant 5 stars is because of Heather’s exceptional kindness and willingness to help with something outside her normal responsibilities.
We’re extremely grateful she took the time to help my high schooler succeed on his Spanish project. We will definitely be back, and we highly recommend Nueva Cantina for both the yummy food and the people who work there!

Visiting Tampa for the weekend and we knew we had to try this place. So glad we did! Our server Jackie was super friendly and attentive to us. Hope you indulge in those chips ASAP!

Planned a Galentines here with my family there were 9 of us and the server took great care of us! Food was excellent and came out quickly. Drinks were amazing, we all got the margarita flights and I got the blush cafe espresso martini. Tons of options for food and even mocktails for those who don’t drink!

Friendly staff and good food. Took a star off because it was slow, and our food beat our drinks, where I would have gladly ordered a 2nd drink if I had the time. Also if you can’t handle spice (like me since I’ve aged) you would hope that after disclosing that, the waitress would help you avoid spicy stuff and not let you order spicy, not the case. I had my mobility scooter and they were great about accommodating that.

The food was awesome. It was great, great prices and the server, Johnny was totally awesome. He even gave my granddaughter an extra little ducky. She was so happy and we were happy so everything was great. That was awesome. Can’t wait to come back again.
