I’m embarrassed that it’s taken me so long to try Gulliver’s but I am glad we finally made it! It is such a fun design/theme and the restaurant makes it feel like you are eating inside a boat. We had drinks, calamari appetizer, the chicken salad and the ribs. The calamari and ribs were superb. Overall a great experience. I can’t wait to go back!

Fish fry Friday review:
The chowder base is lumpy and makes the whole soup not good. The baked fish is good. The tartar is not right. The servers are good, but we had to ask for more water. Rye bread is good, potato salad is ok and coleslaw is to sweet. If we have out of town guests, who like fish, we would bring them here once.

From out of town and this was recommended to try. I had excellent baked fish that comes with soup and salad bar. Reasonably priced. Husband had special 1/2lb perch and he said it’s the best hes ever had. Will come back next time we are in the area.

Food was not as good as we remembered. The server was great – attentive with a great smile. And the dining room was beautifully decorated with twinkle lights. We ordered the night’s specials – a seafood platter and a steak w shrimp. The scallops on the platter were well seasoned and tender. Unfortunately the perch was not. Probably just an off night. We will have to try it again sometime.

Absolutely incredible meal. Loved the nautical themed decor. The bone-in ribeye was cooked to perfection. My wife’s Haddock was impeccable. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice night out and an AMAZING meal.

Extremely friendly and attentive staff. I got the 24oz sirloin with mushrooms and asparagus and it was one of the best restaurant steaks i have ever had, the meat quality was very high and cooked medium rare to perfection, will be coming back every time i am in Wausau.

Steak was done medium and done right with onions on top.
!!–> food allergies , French fries and croutons are done in same oil as the fish. I had a reaction from this. You can ask those to be done differently.

The food was good but service not so much. I had to get her attention for cocktails and she never checked back after the food was delivered. We never got our table bussed or an offer of desert or a cocktail. I should say that the bartenders were great, personable, fun and friendly! You can’t judge a book by its cover, we know how to tip!!
