Fun speakeasy under the former post office building in Anoka. Code to enter the premise is in the mailbox. If you can’t figure it out, they still let you in lol. The stairway to the speakeasy is narrow and steep so watch your step.
Bartenders are fun and friendly. There was live music on the night we went. No cover charge. Drinks are decent and reasonably priced. Food menu is limited, but if you ask nicely, they’ll bring you food from The Social Contract Supper Club.
Can get a little loud. Service is quick.

The place is absolutely the hidden of ankoa night life. Great times to be had here. Speakeasy for the people that want to dress up. Atmosphere is insanely awesome. Food is great. Different menu from the 300 supper club upstairs. Staff is on point. And do not get me started on the drinks. Ashley the lead bartender makes the best drinks around. Willing to cater to your taste buds. If your in anoka this is the stop to make.

What a fun place! Legit speakeasy vibes as soon as you hit the front door! Staff was awesome with a great attitude. Kitchen was a bit backed up but manager came up to you before we noticed things were backed up. Bar food, but you’re not coming for the dining. Live music is a nice bonus. Really a fun place to meet and hang out! Oh, and you don’t have to dress up, but it’s way more fun if you do!

Same as another review, we had reservations in the restaurant for 7pm. Went to the basement bar about an hour and a half before to enjoy the speakeasy vibe beforehand. Sat at the bar for 20 minutes before anyone took our drink order. I had a seasonal, my husband had a Manhattan. Mine was awful and his was just straight bourbon. Bartender don’t know the drinks, and he had to look at the only menu at the bar with the seasons drinks listed to make mine. Another person, I assume was a barback was very nice and chatty, but clearly couldn’t take our order due to their job. My husband couldn’t take the loud staff yelling and the extremely loud atmosphere (they were getting ready for a burlesque show) so he went upstairs to ask if we could eat earlier around 6:30. They agreed and even with many tables open, we were sat in the middle of the room between two crowded tables and barely any room to pull our chairs out. We sat down, and were told there were no menus and we would need to wait for one to come available??? Another server walked by us at the same time and told another table they were sorry about the long wait for the food, so we got up and left. The dining room was maybe 1/2 full and there were other nice 2-person tables along the wall where we could have sat comfortably and not up against another table. Overall, a very disappointing experience considering a year ago we had an excellent night out at the same place for my moms birthday. We will not be back.

Had reservations for 6 in the restaurant. We were told there were not any menus. We could sit- but would wait a long while for them. We had ordered 3 drinks 1 pop. Took over 30 minutes for 2 of the drinks- other drink and a POP another 10 minutes later after asking server where they were. Put our food order in- again only 2 meals arrived- my friend and I told our husbands to go ahead and start eating so food wouldn’t get cold- we patiently waited- our plates came when husbands were finishing up. High prices for okay food and terrible service. Our Lemon drops tasted like Lemon juice! Bills were repeatedly wrong. The place was half full. Can’t explain the slow service on that. I would not recommend this speak easy! Try the Hardware store in Anoka .

We had a private event at Nucky’s for our office party. What a great time! The venue is everything you want in a speakeasy. The staff was friendly, fun and hardworking. The food! We ordered a buffet setup off their catering menu with chicken and steak tips. The steak tips and green beans are exceptional. The tips were tender and tasty. The beans cooked perfectly, not the typical overcooked buffet style, but fresh with a slight snap to them! We also had a 2 man band that was recommended by the venue, they were a perfect addition to the atmosphere and a good value! Well done to all!

This was absolutely amazing. We sat at the bar and mainly watched the awesome bartender. She was amazing and could tell she loved what she was doing.
Definitely make plans to visit. It was the coolest experience ive had in a long time.

Everyone was so kind and relaxed with my kids from walking in the door to walking out. That helped a lot with getting out. We will definitely come back. They had great music and great food.

I was taken to Nucky’s for my birthday. Not your run-of-the-mill bar! Down the back stairs…A peep-hole in the door….Password… So fun! Loved the wait staff dress. Intimate seating with live entertainment. A great experience! I’ll be back!

Amazing atmosphere. It was very fun to find the correct entrance and ring the bell, provide the password etc. The historic building was a big draw.
The spinach and artichoke dip appetizer was excellent and so were the drinks.
The service however was lacking and did cause some disappointment as we’d really been looking forward to coming. We dressed up and brought out of town guests.
They were not at all crowded but everything was extremely slow. I suspect they were understaffed. I recognize it is a holiday week and it was also a week night but in the course of about 2 hours we were able to order 2 drinks. I know at least one other table left because they’d been there 30+ minutes without even being able to order. It was not a friendly or inviting vibe. When we were let in we were just told to sit wherever and the server walked off and we didn’t see another staff member for maybe 20 mins.
I definitely want to give it another chance but I was honestly pretty bummed overall. For spending $130, I’d expect a bit better.
