Nucci Italian Café is such a wonderful find and easily one of those places that reminds you why local spots are the best. A group of three of us arrived on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch, and with the beautiful weather and relaxed pace, it was the perfect setting for a great meal.
Right after we sat down, we were greeted with a warm, fluffy basket of garlic knots. Honestly, they were exactly what I needed before I got hangry. Fresh out of the oven, soft on the inside, and full of flavor — the kind of starter that immediately makes you excited for what’s coming next.
For my entrée, I ordered the spaghetti bolognese, and it was rich, comforting, and generously portioned. My friend ordered the gnocchi, which was pillowy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Both dishes came with a medium-sized side salad, which was a really nice touch and rounded out the meal perfectly. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and thoughtfully prepared.
What truly made the experience special, though, was the service. The owners — a lovely husband-and-wife team — both served us, and their warmth and friendliness made us feel genuinely welcome. You can tell they take pride in their food and in creating a great experience for their guests. It felt personal, not rushed, and very inviting.
Overall, Nucci Italian Café is a great local, cozy spot with delicious food, welcoming owners, and a relaxed atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality Italian meal and a pleasant dining experience. We had such a great time, and I will definitely be back.

First time visiting this delightful and bustling local Italian restaurant. The menu had so many delicious choices and everyone is our party loved their dinner. I came specifically for their stromboli and the sheer amount of ricotta cheese, sausage, & pepperoni was exactly what I was craving. And the garlic rolls were a magical start. I am looking forward to the leftovers. Would highly recommend!

My family and I love this Italian restaurant. They have the best Alfredo I have ever had and I get Alfredo anywhere I go. My husband loves the chicken parm pasta, my mom loves the chicken Marsala, and my dad loves any seafood pasta. They give you a soup or salad and the Caesar is so good and my family always loves the soup they have. And they bring out bread w/ butter. Everyone is so friendly and very fast service. Oh and there Parmesan is sooo good we end up using the entire jar! Oopsies Definitely recommend!

Food was great and the staff was super friendly. Ordered the stromboli expecting it to be something frozen since the price was so affordable. But to my surprise it was fantastic, looked like it was made in house (I almost took a picture but was to excited to dig in). The soup was phenomenal as well, I recommend dipping your bread in it. I only gave this place a 4 star on atmosphere because the tables could be updated a little. But overall I appreciate everything about my experience.

So incredibly amazing. This spot has been here decades and continues to have amazing, high quality food and tastes. I had a Stromboli, which was incredible! The bread is great, too. All their sauce is home made. They also have pretty decent lunch prices for how large the plates and items are. I would recommend to anyone in North County.

It was my first time trying this gem and won’t be my last. I felt at home coming even though it was their last hour open. I was welcomed and felt I could take my time. The staff was kind and attentive and the food was even better. I had their soup of the day and their super sub. Definitely set a great standard for what to expect from more indulgent dishes. I was even gifted a sweet surprise at the end of the night. Don’t walk. RUN here. You are sure to have a great time and a happy tummy.

! is exactly the kind of Mom and Pop business I am focusing on patronizing this coming year! We live 40 minutes away so unfortunately we can’t come as often as we would like. The food is amazing. We were seated by a hard-working young man named Ethan (he never stopped moving ALL night!) and our wonderful server was Talia. They have the ability to change the pasta type if you prefer something else. We swapped our noodles with linguine and it was delicious! We had the Penne Amatriciana and the Rigatoni Alla Toscana, both with Rosetta sauce. The chefs accidentally switched the sauces and I got the spicy one. I loved it so I recommend asking for it this way. The salads were fresh and tasty. While we were waiting for our table, a couple of nice patrons recommended the Rigatoni Alla Monte. I will definitely try that next time!

Nucci’s Italian Café & Pizza
Needed a quick solution for a small family gathering, and definitely made the right choice. I was pleasantly surprised—Nucci’s was nearly sold out and clearly very popular.
We were seated shortly after arriving by Alfredo, who was both friendly and helpful. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining, which was a nice touch. I enjoyed a couple of great local craft beers while we decided on our takeout order.
We went with the BBQ pizza, Lasagna al Forno, Linguine al Pesto, and Portobello Ravioli—everything was a hit with my guests. Each dish came with fresh salad and homemade bread, and it was all ready in under 20 minutes.
If you’re in the area and craving Italian, look no further.

Tried this place for the first time tonight. I was surprised how busy it was late on a Sunday! But got seated promptly, pizza was excellent, bread rolls were divine and the tiramisu was delish. Will def be back as prices were very fair!

Tried it for the first time on a recommendation and was not disappointed! Everything was great, but I will say the garlic knots are the best I’ve ever had!!! The owners are there along with the employees and they are all so so friendly.
