My wife and I were looking for a light dinner after a day of skiing the spring slush. So we took the drive down from Breck and tried out Nozawa. We had to pick up some groceries and items for the dog so it made the choice pretty easy as the restaurant is located in the same mall as Petco and City Market.

Decent sushi for summit county, not the best, nothing too fancy, but reasonably priced for what it is. I end up here at least once a month. The bacon wrapped scallop is awesome. Skip the Pad Thai. Service is almost always good. But if there’s hibachi going on in the other dining room it’s obnoxiously loud. I’m here a lot and don’t usually notice the hibachi, even when I sit against that wall but my last visit there was hibachi happening in the hibachi dining room and there was so much screaming and noise I couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

Had our annual golf outings up the mountains. Revisited again this nice establishment. I can honest say their sashimi is fresher than most of the sushi places in Denver. The service is top notch. The Hibachi chefs are very entertaining. Will visit anytime we are in the area.

Moving to Colorado from Washington state I have struggled hard to find good sushi. Until now. This food blessed my soul. Easily just as good as I remember from WA if not honestly maybe better? The wontons though hands down the best I’ve had. I was beyond impressed by this place. And not even just by the food but the pricing was so reasonable and actually worth it compared to other restaurants. Depressed now that I live 2 hours from here but this makes me want to come back more often. Thank you. ❤️

I really enjoy this type of restaurant and food. My Wife and myself drove 2 and a half hours just to eat here. The experience was amazing. Much better food then when we eat hibachi in the City and much cheaper. I also have to say their Bacon wrapped Scallop appetizer is amazing.
