The service was outstanding—Abby was professional, friendly, and incredibly fast. Truly excellent. The atmosphere and the space were beautiful and made the evening very enjoyable.
We started with the burrata as an appetizer. For our entrées, we ordered a mushroom pizza and spaghetti with blue crab. The pizza dough was excellent—light and well made—but the toppings were a bit too sweet for my taste and lacked contrast. The spaghetti with blue crab was disappointing; I could barely detect any crab, and the dominant flavors were butter and cheese. It reminded me of spaghettini al burro e parmigiano, a dish my Italian mother used to make when I was a child. While comforting, it did not feel worth the $35 price.
The dessert was the highlight of the night. We had a cake/tiramisu-style dessert, and it was absolutely delicious.
Overall, we enjoyed the experience very much thanks to the service, atmosphere, and dessert, even though some dishes did not fully meet expectations.
Noto is one of fewer than 1,000 pizzerias in the world certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, which means everything here is done to the highest standard of authentic Neapolitan pizza. They use imported Italian flour, San Marzano tomatoes, fresh house-made mozzarella, and bake their pizzas in a 900° wood-fired oven from Italy. The crust is soft, chewy, and perfectly blistered — exactly how it should be.
I ordered the sausage pizza, which was rich, savory, and had just the right amount of spice. For an appetizer, I had the roasted carrots topped with shredded cheese and nuts — they were flavorful, beautifully roasted, and definitely a standout. I also enjoyed a couple of their craft cocktails, which were fresh, balanced, and delicious.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with the smell of fresh dough in the air, cozy lighting, and a lively energy that makes you feel like you’ve slipped away to Naples for the evening. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, and the pacing of the meal was perfect.
If you’re a pizza lover, this place belongs on your must-try list. Book well in advance, because once you experience it, you’ll understand why it’s so hard to get in.

When we arrived at our designated time, we were promptly seated and greeted by our server, Erica. She was incredibly friendly and helpful, suggesting dishes that we might enjoy the most during our visit. For our first course, we had risotto balls accompanied by a refreshing salad. Both dishes were bursting with fresh flavors and textures.
For our second course, we indulged in a delightful brick oven pizza topped with pasta. After savoring both courses, we never felt bloated, as all the ingredients were imported from Italy and tasted absolutely divine. It was as if we were on an Italian vacation, dining at a restaurant.
To top off our meal, we enjoyed cannolis and gelato, accompanied by a refreshing Americano coffee. These desserts were incredibly refreshing and satisfying.
What truly set this place apart was the ambiance, the thoughtful gesture of providing separate silverware for each course, and Erica’s exceptional ability to engage us in meaningful conversations.
This place is absolutely worth the wait. You won’t find food like this anywhere else, unless you visit Italy. I highly recommend it; as an Italian myself, it reminded me of my Nonna’s cooking.
Arrivederci e a presto!
My wife and I have made our 5th visit for our 5th anniversary.
First and foremost, shout out to our server Ryan, and Jacob, his wingman behind the bar.
Ryan described the pizza special with such enthusiasm that we ended up ordering one in addition to what we had planned. Overall, he made the perfect amount of touch points with our table, taking great care of us without us feeling overwhelmed.
Personally, I do not drink, but I was intrigued by the mocktails. The first one was so good I tried a second. My wife ordered an espresso martini and thought it was the most balanced one she has ever had. So great job and thank you, Jacob.
On to the food. We ordered the shrimp toast, the pizza special, the accigua pizza, the tonarelli pasta, the gnudi pasta, and some cannolis. They also brought us a complimentary cranberry sorbet.
It’s truly impossible to say which item we liked the most. Take a look at the photos and see for yourself.
Our 5 experiences have been so consistent in quality innovative menu items, service, and ambiance, that this is the number one restaurant in St. Louis I recommend to anyone who asked.
Thank you again for an amazing anniversary.

Dining here is an experience. The menu is so thoughtfully curated that choosing what to order can be a real challenge.
For our anniversary, my wife and I usually go all out, ordering a pizza, two pastas, and two to three appetizers, with plenty of leftovers to enjoy later. We love sampling as much as possible, and we’ve never been disappointed.
I’ve eaten more Neapolitan and wood-fired pizza than I care to admit, but I can say with absolute confidence that this is the best pizza I’ve ever had.
Beyond the incredible food, Noto’s ambiance is its next best feature. It’s casual yet polished, with a comfortable atmosphere that feels both intimate and special. With a limited number of tables, dining here makes us feel like part of something greater than just “dinner at a nice restaurant.”
