We made a reservation here for Valentine’s Day on open table for 5:00. I thought it would take longer to get here with traffic, so we ended up getting there early. They sat us early, which was nice.
It’s not a huge place, but it was nicely decorated. The menu had quite a variety to select from.
My husband & I split the ribeye. I didn’t realize they were going to split the 2 sides between the 2 plates, so I had ordered an extra side of green beans. The steak wasn’t having seasoned, which was nice. I substituted green beans for the potatoes.
Our server was nice; however, we went long periods without seeing him.
We were in & out in just under an hour. We didn’t order drinks from the bar, so I don’t know anything about the bar service. I would go back & do recommend. Splitting the steak & ordering another side of green beans & a side salad was less than $60 before the tip.

Had a great experience having brunch here with my Fiancé. The service was good and no wait for a table. Yacht rock on the radio. The Northside skillet was delicious and her brisket egg benedict was great. Bloody Marys on special too.

The staff is extremely friendly, the food is delicious and their little breakfast cafe is amazing. There are a bunch of options for coffee and the bagel sandwiches hit the spot (as a NJ native).

No just no. I ordered the jambalaya penne, and it was extremely disappointing. The dish was very bland, the cheese wasn’t properly melted and was lumpy, and there was little to no seasoning. As someone who genuinely loves jambalaya penne, this missed the mark completely. For the price, I expected much better quality and where were the shrimp? I found two. I had concerns the moment I saw how pale the sauce was, there was clearly a lack of “Cajun” in the cream sauce. The spices you do see in the picture… I included. Blackened Old bay I added that still couldn’t save this dish. I won’t be ordering this again.

Surprisingly nice, cozy neighborhood restaurant with attentive service and interesting comfort food. In 3 visits tried the Rueben, biscuits and sausage gravy, and the meatloaf. All recommended by the wait staff. All were pleasingly homestyle flavorful. I really enjoy my time here.

This is an amazing neighborhood restaurant with even better food. If there’s a local business to support you’ve found it. Met the woman who makes the food and she was super nice and knowledgeable about food. My family loved their southern cooking. We got desert at their ice cream shop attached and it was so smooth and delicious. I can’t wait for it to get hot so we can see how many times we can get ice cream here.

Northside is a low key treat on Glebe. Service is always on top of things and bar service is excellent. Troy is a stand up guy and remembers his customers. Never a bad experience at this spot. Plus now they added an ice cream shop called “Sweet side”. A most if your an Arlington resident.
