It has been a very long while since I have had seafood of this caliber on the Northshore. I have bought raw fish and shrimp from here for years and always pleased with their availability for crawfish but unfortunately I’ve never actually eaten in the restaurant.
The boiled crawfish were excellent and were fair considering the current market price. Got an appetizer because we misjudged how much food we actually ordered. Fried shrimp was awesome, every thing we tasted was amazing. Even the children’s meal was made from scratch and not just some frozen chicken nuggets.
We paid double what I expected to but I felt like every penny was worth it and next time I will order how much food we can actually eat in a sitting.
Super important note, I did not catch our waitress ‘ name but she was absolutely running the show. It really made me feel like eating in a family place when I was younger and I don’t see that very often any more.

Hated to leave a bad review, but damn… just look up at the ceiling. It’s covered in water stains and what looks like some serious microbial growth. Pretty toxic-looking place.

They charge $20 for a shrimp platter with 10 small shrimp. Don’t waste your money Mandeville Seafood is right down the street with much better portions.

Me and my kid went there. Ordered a kids shrimp for here and a combo poboy for me. Literally after ordering they bring out a kids basket out for my kid and is cold shrimp and fries. 1 minute. I get a combo poboy and has a thin piece of catfish on one piece and 4 shrimp on the other bread. IT WAS ALL BREAD!!!!! CHARGED ME NORMAL PRICE FOR BREAD. If you want a good meal, go to Mandeville seafood or Ponchartrain poboys. At least you will get your money’s worth. Northlake will take your money and run.

10 out of 10! The seafood is so fresh and seasoned perfectly! Nice selection of cooked and fresh seafood. Decent beer selection at the bar. We recently got (live) crawfish from there. Great size, not alot of dead ones and clean.

I can’t say enough about how much we enjoy lunch here. The oyster and shrimp po boys are amazing. $10.99 special for poboy and great gumbo. Love the boiled shrimp. Nothing wrong with the choice down the street but Northlake is just as good if not better at a fair price.

Cute little eatery with food you can taste the love in with every bite. Daily specials are where it’s at price wise and the menu has soo many options. Glad we ran across this place and if we’re ever back in town, we’ll def stop back in!
