Delicious Ethiopian restaurant at the mall! We enjoyed the lamb, the chicken stew with the traditional bread, and traditional spiced tea! It was very delicious and staff errr helpful in menu suggestions and service. With the tea they bring a tray with tea pot, cups, and a basket of baked snacks, and sugar or honey. Very cozy and delicious!

I love Ethiopian food. While I was in Ethiopia they made a dish called genfo. For many years I could not find a place that made this dish. While eating here and asking question about the menu the staff offered to make this dish for me. She was very accommodating and courteous. I am thankful she was able to make this as it has been many years. I also tried the lamb which was delicious. She was nice and offered me tea and coffee which was presented beautifully. I highly recommend giving them a visit.

The food was delicious, and their customers service was lovely and welcoming. We had the veggie combo and zucchini. I did liked a lot the orange miser and this one was my favorite compared to other restaurants I’ve been! Their Zucchini was else different and delicious. Their customer service was absolutely beautiful and they gave us free eggs on zucchini and free tea for two person!

PHENOMENAL. Oh my Gosh this is the best Ethiopian food I’ve ever had, and the service was also amazing, such a sweet woman who runs the show! She made our group the lamb dish and chicken wot as well as the traditional tea which was served with tea cakes, sugar, lemon slices, honey, and incense! Truly an amazing experience and you really gotta eat here! I’m amazed that it’s at the mall! Also the prices are really reasonable! We came for the Safari animal petting zoo and left with full and happy tummies! 🙂 thank you!!

North Star Catering in the Burnsville Mall blew me away! The Eritrean/Ethiopian food was super tasty, full of bold, authentic flavors. I highly recommend the North Star Platter for a little bit of everything — so good! The tea was incredible, and the owners were incredibly hospitable, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. A must-try spot!

Ethiopian food made with the upmost care and authenticity- completely from scratch. What a find. I have eaten at many Ethiopian restaurants around the greater Twin Cities area, and this one is a winner. Plenty of options for vegetarian as well. The service was as incredible as the food- the owner and employees are all very kind and compassionate. While I ate at their Burnsville Mall location, I imagine this would be a wonderful option for those looking for catering large events- as this is something they offer (wedding, funeral, reunions, etc.). Will most definitely be back.

Best Habesha food you’ll for sure find in Minneapolis metro, & almost the city. Senit runs the place & she’s a terrific chef. One of my best & only recs I could give to anyone for some great Habesha eats.
