Pleasantly surprised.
I didn’t know this little gem existed. We had the special: Sirloin Tips with a Jack Daniel sauce & garlic mashed potatoes with the salad bar. The salad bar was great! You don’t find those very often anymore. Many of the tips were chewy, the sauce was very sweet & not very hot. The potatoes were good but also not very hot. I’ll get something else next time.
Other than that, service was very good & attentive. The atmosphere was great. I loved it & we’ll be back frequently. Wonderful place!

Tiny town Iowa, interesting little place, we ate in the bar area, there are more dining rooms, meeting rooms. Atmosphere, definitely local people, clearly regulars, loud talkers with colorful language, lots of interesting gossip. Nice staff, our waitress was super proud of the menu, telling us about the different nightly specials. Our food was good, shared mushroom burger, decent. Rueben bites good, pickle fries good. Homemade thousand island and ranch, served in plastic cups, salad from a bag. I wish we could cut down on serving from non reusable containers. We plan to get back when it’s busier and get a regular entree.

Friday night fish. What can I say they been doing it since I was a kid. Gotta be doin something rite. No it’s great fish I mean like Id hit it up every Friday or most Fridays anyways. Not much of a fish fan but really I could probably eat there daily. Great place.. I guess I’ll see what all the other night specials are as the week goes on.

Love the small town feeling and the food has been amazing the 3 times we ate there. Once was a burger. The others were specials prime rib and broasted chicken. Short wait times with several large groups 8 or more people.

Great food and wonderful atmosphere. The service was a bit slow but only because the restaurant was packed to the brim. The all you can eat fish-fry came in large portions, and was delicious. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

Appetizers were good the steaks could have been better. I order medium rare and got well done. I do strongly recommend the steak fries. The bartender was super friendly and the bar was very clean. This place also does karaoke.

Usually I find the experience pretty good. I would avoid Wednesday Taco, Pizza, Liver special night though. Severely understaffed for a special night with excessively long wait times. Food was over priced. $35 for 2 people. Hopefully this isn’t the new standard for what once was a great local eatery.

Good food, good service, honestly nothing bad to say about the place. It can take a bit to get your food while they’re busy but nothing insane. Very friendly and lively. The building is a bit of a dead zone though, I had 0 bars the whole time. Would definitely visit again though.
