We had a wonderful dining experience here. Tuesday nights are great as the steaks are 50% off. We appreciate the quality of the service from Frank, he knew the menu inside out and was able to give us tasteful recommendations for our entrees, steaks and drinks.

The entrees were great – my favourite was the steak tartare, it had a smooth consistency. The escargot was good too served in the shell.

The scotch fillet was one of the best I’ve had in Melbourne, perfectly served at medium. It had the perfect amount of salt and came with a generous serving of chips, but the chips were slightly too salty.

The crème brûlée was a good ending, but it was served cold. Large portion for dessert which I was happy with.

The value for the price was worth it on a Tuesday night. Highly recommend!

Thank you very much

The food was delicious. I had grilled tiger prawn, Escargot, Mushroom ravioli ended with apple tarte tartin. One staff (a girl) she was very friendly and knew the menu well. She made my dining experience better

Had a wonderful time and Normandy Wine & Grill. If we could we would have ordered one of everything from the snacks and starters menu because everything just sounded so delicious! Between the 7 of us we still managed to order 16 dishes (baguette not in pictures, not including the mash and the side salad) . For me, the highlights were anchovy for the snacks, scallops for the starters, waygu beef cheek for the mains and the Apple tarte tatin for dessert.

The only let down for me was the side of mash we ordered wasn’t the creamy velvety texture that one would expect. It was a tad on the grainy/dry side, but everything else made up for it!

Service was also attentive and friendly!

Perhaps our expectations were too high, as we love French food. Food was good but not amazing; we have had better steaks, and the beef cheeks were a bit over-flavoured.
We would have appreciated being told about the specials before we ordered. We didn’t realise until we were finished eating that escargot was available as a special, so we were very disappointed.
Service was quick. Very relaxed atmosphere; avoid it if you are looking for a place for a romantic date or with a bit more sophistication, but great for family dinners.

Came here for the Tuesday steak night where all steaks on the menu are half price with fries and a choice of sauce included with the steak. Ordered four snacks to start and a wagyu MS7+ porterhouse from the special board. All the snacks were tasty. Favourite was the anchovy on toast; the combination of salty anchovy, vinegary pickled shallots, creamy stracciatella, juicy tomato and crispy melba toast worked very well. The tiger prawn was also nicely cooked and flavour packed. For the main dish, the wagyu steak was cooked perfectly medium rare; it was tender without the rough grainy texture and the meat juice was sealed properly giving it a nice beefy flavour. However there wasn’t a lot of intramuscular fat in the steak so it felt like eating a marble score 4+ instead of 7+. It was still a very good steak and for half price I was fine with it. Fries were also nice and crispy. For dessert, had the chocolate fondant which was sweet and decadent, plenty of chocolate oozing out and the candied hazelnuts was a good addition. Service was great and the staffs were very friendly, they even offered additional cutleries for the snacks in case I don’t want to mix the flavours which was a nice gesture.

Had an amazing dinner at Normandy Wine & Grill! We had the Cape Grim scotch and it was honestly one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time.

I went with rare and it was cooked to absolute perfection – perfectly even throughout, with those beautiful grill marks, and topped with a touch of cracked salt that tied it all together, paired with the beautiful bordelaise sauce.

The crème brûlée for dessert was just divine – rich, velvety and decadent. Also, great value on their Tuesday Steak Night deal! Definitely recommend for anyone who loves a beautifully cooked steak!

We went on Tuesday Half Price Steak night so ALL the steaks were HALF PRICE !!!

DESSERT
Apple Tarte Tatin: $16.50

What a hidden little gem, it’s a cosy and modern restaurant with some of the BEST French food I have eaten! We went on a Tuesday which is their half price steak night and it’s super popular and almost always booked out weeks in advance. Generally they have early bookings at around 4-5pm or late bookings after 8pm available.

The starters we had were all delicious, I would go back just to eat those again!! The Zuchinni Flower is stuffed with Goats cheese and it’s delicately fried so it’s light and crispy! I think the Steak Tartare & Kingfish Crudo were both my favourite dishes of the night, just look at how beautiful they look! Also the Kingfush Crudo was such a GENEROUS portion, just look at how much kingfish is on the plate, I think were 12 thick pieces, compared to other places who are charging the same price for like 5 small pieces of kingfish. Not only is it exceptional value, it tasted so good too, loved the freshness of the tomatoes and the acidity of the dressing. The Steak Tartare was also so beautifully presented with the pickled baby onion and confit egg yolk and tasted so good when it was all mixed together.

Since the steaks were all half-price on Tuesday, this was such a good deal, but we probably over-ordered as we got one steak each and they were huge, we probably could have shared. But all the steaks were cooked to perfection and really good quality beef. Now I know why their Half Price Steak night is so popular and constantly booked out months in advance.

Dinner was ALMOST perfect, but the dessert was a little bit disappointing, we ordered the Apple Tarte Tartin but the caramel was a bit too bitter for our liking so it was very strong and overpowering. I would want to try the Crème Brulé next time.

A cute French bistro restaurant on Windsor! Staff were attentive and charming. For entree, we ordered zucchini flower, crab croquets and the steak and yellow fin tuna tartare. The tartare were so beautifully put together and tasted exquisite. We took advantage of their 1/2 price steak and frites on Tuesday and ordered the special wagyu porterhouse steak and the eye fillet. Not usually a fan of porterhouse cuts but this porterhouse was so well cooked it melted in my mouth. For dessert we couldn’t go past the creme brulee and the apple tarte tin. Everything was gorgeously presented and tasted delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and night. Would highly recommend!

An outstanding French dining experience in Windsor. The service was warm, attentive and genuinely elevated the night. Every dish was a hit. The escargot, oysters, crab croquets and zucchini flowers made for an exceptional line-up of starters, each one perfectly cooked with rich, clean flavours.

The beef cheek on Paris mash was the absolute standout. It was fall-apart tender, slow-braised to perfection and paired with a velvety, buttery mash that soaked up every drop of the sauce. Truly melt-in-your-mouth good. The duck was tremendous as well, cooked beautifully with deep, savoury flavour.

Dessert was the perfect finale. The apple tarte tatin was caramelised and fragrant, and the crème brûlée had that perfect crack on top with a smooth, creamy centre.

Didn’t get a chance to take photos as we were too busy devouring plates.
