If you’re searching for the best chocolate shop in Sarasota, look no further than Norman Love Confections. As a chocolate lover and dessert enthusiast, I made not one, but two visits during my recent trip—and I’d go back again in a heartbeat.
On my first visit, I picked up a 5-piece box of beautifully crafted artisanal chocolates. Each piece looked like a miniature painting—visual eye candy that delivers unforgettable flavor. Rich, luxurious, and perfectly balanced, these chocolates are made for those who truly appreciate gourmet craftsmanship. Even the elegant boxes are worth saving—so well-designed they feel like gifts themselves.
The mango gelato also blew me away—bright, tropical, and silky smooth. It’s the kind of refreshing treat you’ll crave on a warm Florida day.
The shop is also stocked with a variety of house-made chocolate bars and seasonal specialties, making it easy to discover new favorites or bring home a special edible souvenir. Every bite reflects the brand’s attention to detail and passion for chocolate artistry.
The customer service stood out, too. Xavier, one of the staff members even shared photos of his latte and crepe art, which added a thoughtful, personal touch and made the experience feel extra memorable.
I returned a few days later to pick up a Key Lime Cake and Tiramisu for my family—both were phenomenal. The Key Lime Cake was zesty, creamy, and refreshing, while the Tiramisu was rich, velvety, and indulgent.
Whether you’re a Sarasota local or just passing through, Norman Love Confections is a must-visit for artisan chocolate, luxury desserts, and handcrafted indulgence. It’s a delicious destination for foodies, sweet tooths, and anyone who loves flavor-forward experiences.
The store is located to the right of Trader Joe’s, and to the right of J. Crew.
Food:Gourmet chocolates made with hard work and dedication. I read on their site they leave out the preservatives.
Service:The team behind the delicious treats, creates not only for the taste buds but culinary artistry.
Jeremy, Emily, and Kemily were all so welcoming and informative.
They even let me try the most popular chocolates. Really great individuals. Thank you!!!
Atmosphere:Very open and spacious. The counter is further in the building. When you walk in to the left are a few boxes of chocolates.
Super clean and fresh since they moved locations.
All in all outstanding!!! Can’t wait to share this place with my loved ones!
This is an upper-end chocolatier. Your corporate office needs to choose the music selection more appropriately.
Tried to contact NL via a couplemways, only to be blocked.
Emailed them days ago with no response.
We are enthusiastic fans of Norman Love, bring their creations to dinner parties, and make frequent stops to self indulge at the LWR location. However, we were stunned to learn our favorite has been discontinued.
The Red Eye is the best item for us and we’ve enjoyed it over the past couple years. We stopped in a few days ago only to be told “the weekly special” is no longer available. Frankly, the Red Eye is one of the reasons we frequent Norman Love. When we get one, we also buy other treats and chocolates.
Help me understand. It;s basically a milkshake with shots of espresso. If it wasn’t cost effective, then charge more. Don’t tell me I can’t have it. You still make milkshakes and espresso. What’s the big deal? Charge me more, don’t make it a special. I could essentially order a chocolate shake and 2 shots of espresso and voila, there’s a red eye.
Most upsetting, you didn’t answer my question from a couple days ago. Customer service?. We may not be back.
