The decor is also very nice and the place is not too busy mid-afternoon.
Wow from the moment I walked in, it felt warm and welcoming. The server did an excellent job, the food was great, and everything was light and easy on the stomach. The menu has so many good options, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more.

We had a very good meal at Norimen and were happy to have discovered this spot while exploring Chinatown. It’s a reliable place where you can enjoy a great meal without any hesitation. If you are in the area and looking for quality food, this is definitely a solid choice. We would go back again!
As I understand this is a new menu item, I have some constructive feedback for the restaurant for a better experience with this dish:
I recommend using a different type of lettuce that’s more suited for ssam, like red/green-leaf or butter lettuce. The green lettuce used (I’m assuming iceberg) is too fragile and breaks quite easily when folded. I would also serve the ssam on a separate platter so it doesn’t end up covered in the juices from the jeyuk—I ended up eating the lettuce with a fork and knife, which defeats the purpose of ssam.
I otherwise really enjoyed this, and I think these two adjustments could help make a well-executed dish even better!
Everything on the menu sounded tempting, and everything we tried turned out to be fantastic. We went all in—Spicy Salmon Tacos, Yangnyeom Chicken, Tofu Yogurt Spread, Crab Croquette, Kim Pasta, Tteokgalbi, Salmon, and Bossam. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted even better. Some items were familiar staples in Korean cuisine, but Norimen added its own interesting twist—like anchovy ssamjang and kimchi jam—that elevated the flavors in unexpected ways.
The cocktails were another highlight. I wish I had taken photos, but they were so good I couldn’t resist finishing them right away. Moogoomg Blossom, Kong Sool, and Soo Jung were all unique, refreshing, and delightful. For dessert, the toasted injeolmi sundae was the perfect sweet ending.
If Norimen were closer to me, I’d be there all the time—fortunate for my wallet that it’s not, but definitely unfortunate for my taste buds.
As someone who’s had plenty of Korean food growing up, I can honestly say Norimen is the real deal. Highly recommend giving Norimen a try.
The spicy salmon taco was fresh, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the drinks. I tried the watermelon drink—was hoping for a bit more sweetness, but it was still light and refreshing. The calamari portion was smaller than expected, but it was tender and nicely seasoned.
The vibe was super chill, and the staff were genuinely friendly.
All in all, great flavors, a cozy atmosphere, and definitely a spot I’d come back to.
