If you’re a fan of handrolls, Norikaya is definitely worth a visit. Each dish comes in a small portion, which is great because it lets you sample a variety of items from the menu. The seafood is fresh and the flavors really stand out. The highlight for me was the scallop cigar; fresh scallop paired with their savory sauce, wrapped in crispy seaweed. It’s absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes it perfect for dinner, though the service can be a bit slow at times.

I came here by chance on a friend’s recommendation, and I really liked the upscale, refined atmosphere.
Ssam Lobster was so good. Baked lobster with garlic chili crunch and aioli was rich.
Pop Rockin was also a great choice. Blue crab and spicy tuna paired really well with the avocado puree, and the pop rocks added a crispy texture that made it even better.
Both dishes felt creative and genuinely delicious.
Plus, the plates were beautiful.
Definitely memorable and worth trying.

We had an absolutely exceptional experience here. We ordered the premium set, and every bite was impressive. The caviar tart was a true standout—beautifully prepared with high-quality caviar. Our favorite roll was the SSAM Lobster, and the baked lobster was outstanding as well. The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully executed. We can’t wait to come back!

Tried premium tasting menu. After the 2nd dish, it took exactly 28 minutes for the 3rd appetizer. One sushi chef, full bar. Alcoholic beverages are made by the servers who were constantly referring to what seemed like a recipe book and obviously tasted horrible. Asked if it could be made again, he said “thats how its supposed to be.” Cool. ♀️
Not the greatest quality fish.

Food is so good, fish and uni are fresh, uni is sweet and tasty. Every course of the tasting menu worth a try. Brandon is so nice and lights our day, the playlists in the resto have a good taste. Recommend ✨

Came here for a last minute bite and was pleasantly surprised. Ashley our server is the sweetest and she took such good care of us despite being an hour before closing. She was fantastic with recommending dishes and checking in on us and every item was brought out in a timely manner. I really enjoyed everything here it feels elevated, it’s great for date night, light bites or a full meal. They have a great happy hour menu that I look forward to trying next time. My only critique is that some of the dishes skew sweeter than my preference but that’s just me. The granita dessert is an absolute must have and so is the uni temaki! I’ve eaten a lot of uni and theirs was particularly sweet and fresh. Will definitely come back again soon!

Came here for DineLA dinner, was impressed with the variety of flavors and selections. Jazz and Bernard who took really good care of us, pleasant and attentive to everything we needed. My fav was the strawberry unagi and the yellowtail, still thinking about both dishes! Probably would skip the Galbi taco and the cheese cake. Wanted to try the yuzu granita but they ran out. The most amazing smelling and tasting house made soy sauce ever ever ever! Will definitely be back and highly recommend. Very reasonably priced.

We live around the corner and for the first noticed this spot so decided to try it.
Everything was excellent from phone etiquette to ambience to service and most importantly food.
Everything was incredible and they were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions without any hesitance. The prices are also so good especially considering how overpriced mediocre food is priced in the neighborhood.
Highly recommend this, definitely our new neighborhood spot. Special thank you to Brendan + the Chef.

Stopped by for a late afternoon snack on. Sunday. We tried their yellowtail crudo and a couple of handrolls. I love scallops so I had to try theirs. Sadly it wasn’t what I expected for a seared scallop. It wasn’t bad, but the other flavors overpowered the scallop taste.
Their blue crab handroll was pretty good though and it had a lot of filling that was actually hard to keep in the roll! Would I go here again? Possibly if I was already in the area.
Service was super friendly.

We had a reservation for 6 and weren’t seated until nearly an hour later, which was already disappointing. The bigger issue, however, was how the restaurant handled the situation afterward.
Staff repeatedly offered compensation for the delay, but almost every offer was later retracted or contradicted. First, we were offered free sake (which we declined). Then free food was offered, but reasonable requests were denied by management. Items that were promised later became “sold out,” including two 3 oz filet steaks that were explicitly offered and never delivered.
To make matters worse, we were told we would receive complimentary dessert, which we did—but when the bill arrived, we were charged for both desserts. When we pointed it out, we were told the original waitress had already gone home, and only one dessert could be removed from the bill.
Delays happen, and we were patient. What made this frustrating was the lack of communication between staff and management and the repeated promises that were not honored.
For a restaurant at this price point, the food itself did not justify the cost, and combined with the disorganized service, the overall experience fell well below expectations.
