We got here only five minutes before they closed. They were very accommodating and welcoming. I’ll say this is excellent service.
We ordered the butternut soup to start. Then, crispy chicken sandwich and the French dip sandwich. Both were delicious! We loved the fact that they came with yummy side salad.

I really dislike leaving a place with a bad vibe. I understand that there are many people’s jobs at stake, and I want to be fair, especially since we visited during the holidays. That said, the place was pretty empty, and we had just enjoyed a lovely holiday afternoon of shopping with our twin girls. We thought it’d be a nice treat to have lunch and a cocktail at the Nordstrom grill.
Honestly, I should’ve seen the signs—they hardly had anyone there, decorations were minimal and jankey, and the decor itself was pretty basic and dated. We figured, hey, it’s Nordstrom, it’s the holidays—surely it’ll be a good time. But it took almost 30 minutes to get our drinks. We finally waved down the manager, who kindly said she’d help, and our drinks arrived about half an hour later. We were tired and a bit hungry, but we appreciated her help, and she even offered to comp our drinks and desserts.
Fast forward an hour and a half, and we realize they only had one dessert left. The food was okay, the drinks were fine, but after two hours, all I wanted was to go home. We waited for that brownie dessert, the only one they had left, and knowing we had limited time to get to a holiday party, I told my husband to just settle the bill so we could leave. He did, but we still kept waiting for the dessert to go. When it finally arrived, we asked if we could take it to-go—as we’d originally requested. Of course, we waited some more.
Finally, I went to the restroom, and on my way back, I saw the manager, who didn’t even look at me. Our waitress returned half an hour after we’d ordered, apologized for the service delay, and explained she’d gone on break. #?
After such a lovely day shopping at Nordstrom, it all ended in frustration, exhaustion, and disappointment. With so many options at the Mall of America, Nordstrom should definitely rethink this offering. If they do decide to do holiday, they should make sure the grill matches the festive spirit of the mall, the store and the season—with great service, beautiful decorations, and music that makes guests feel welcomed, happy, and joyful after a busy day.
I’d advise others to absolutely skip this place. There are plenty of wonderful options outside in the mall—don’t waste your time and money here, especially since it was costly and, frankly, horribly disappointing. Very off brand for Nordstrom, I’d say.

TL;DR – SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT!
Took my family of 4 here for an early NYE dinner. Food was great – fresh veggies, quality proteins, and clever flavor pairings (pear honey, yum!). Very approachable menu for 2 adults and 2 pre-teens.
The desserts were the pinnacle of our meal. I’m still salivating about their (signature) lemon ricotta cookies, and we all went gaga for their warm chocolate chunk cookies.
Beautiful windows – wish they had a downtown view – but don’t let that dissuade you. We’ll be back for brunch.

Nordstrom Grill is one of my favorite restaurants at the Mall Of America. The menu is simple yet very good. I appreciate how hard the staff works and that the store manager steps in when things get busy. I’ve never been disappointed. Always have loved the Basil Tomato Soup and can’t resist grabbing a chocolate chip cookie!

I WAS RACIALLY PROFILED BY “SURI” THE WAITRESS (white lady about 60yrs old with reading glasses and grey shoulder length hair)On 6-30-2025 My family and I (NEGRO) came to town to visit my daughter in St Paul MN, we ate at Nordstrom for lunch, supi was our waitess, we ate, paid with our Nordstrom card and left a tip. We return for a 2nd time 7-1-2025 and was sat in her service area, she refused to acknowledge us yet told the chief (whom was negro) too serve us, while she help others (everyone white), we had NO straws or utensil, my daughter had to chase supi down just to request silverware which in turn was passed up and was told “I’m to busy” THAT DID IT!!!! we spoke with the D.M. Joe of Nordstom and the chief who informed us ” she was tierd of “US”

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Nordstrom Grill in MOA, and it was such an unexpected surprise! We were having a really hard time finding a place to fit our group and provide some privacy, and the manager/chef here were so accommodating and made the night completely perfect! The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and the perfect way for our guests to also enjoy the fun of the mall.

My mom and I had to seat ourselves, secondly the food took forever because our waitress decided to talk to other employees and 3rd there menu has gone downhill. I loved there menu before more options and now they’ve raised the prices real high. I wasn’t impressed and neither was my mom. We thought we would give this restaurant one more try and it was a huge letdown. So we’ll go to IKEA next time to eat then shop at Nordstroms. This restaurant has gone downhill. I wouldn’t eat here. Not enough staff. I saw many people come but left because noone was there to greet them. Not good! And it took forever for other people’s food as well.

I visit the twin cities every other month or so and I always head to Nordstrom Grill at the Mall of America for a meal. As much as I love your restaurant I was disappointed in my visit this afternoon. I tried to find a way to contact you directly online but I couldn’t find an email. I ordered the ginger sesame salad with chicken. I was brought the salad with salmon. I am mildly allergic to seafood so I sent it back to get a salad with chicken. I did not eat a lot of the salad as my husband and I had an appetizer and soup so I ate probably four bites and then took the rest to go. I just had it for dinner and I found several chunks of the salmon still mixed in with the salad after eating one of the chunks. Health wise I am fine but this could have been a serious issue and I am really disappointed that when I sent the salad back it did not get remade but someone just haphazardly swapped out the protein. If I could normally I would give you five stars but I want to really give one star for this poor way of operating. So I averaged it out and am giving three. Please do better next time. I love bringing people here to experience the quality food and I really want to continue to do so.
