I was looking for a quick bite after shopping today and Kevin’s Dogs came up as the closest place and I thought I’d give it a try. What a quaint and inviting place. I’m so glad I found this place. First thing I noticed, the parking lot was full and that’s always a good sign. Service was impeccable, but down to earth. Prices cannot be beat. I got my order quickly, although they were packed, and the New York dog was delicious. Some say a hotdog is a just a hot dog, but that was the best hotdog I have had in this area ever! If you haven’t tried this place, give it a go, you will not be disappointed!

As a Carolina girl, I love Carolina bbq and Carolina dogs. They don’t offer a Carolina dog, but you can make your own so I tried the bbq. Pretty good could use a little salt and they offer one sauce with it, which is a Lexington style sauce (vinegar based) but it is sweeter than I would like. I like a good tangy Lexington sauce for the acid. I was able to correct that sweetness with Texas Pete on the tables .
They have a super clean bathroom for a unisex one. That’s unusual and I appreciate that when sharing bathrooms with men!
They still use Styrofoam for their cups and to go containers and that’s really not cool. Do better Kevin‘s!

First time visiting, and it was delicious!
I ordered the Norfolk and the all beef dog all the way (mustard, chili, and raw onions). The difference is that Norfolk is a blend with a natural casing, which gives it a snap when you bite it. It is a la carte, so I ordered a side of fries . The food was hot and satisfying. Don’t forget to try the banana pudding! It was a nice serving for a dessert. The atmosphere and service were comfortable and welcoming. I am looking forward to returning soon.

Recently made a trip to Virginia Beach and found Kevin’s Dog House in another location but find it I did….delicious as ever….and Kevin brought the dogs right out to me!
Having been stationed in Norfolk over 30 years ago I was turned onto Tony’s by a local and never missed a chance to knock four or five out at a time.
Then I moved north but would occasionally visit the area, then my daughter was stationed in Norfolk and told me about Kevin’s ten years ago and I added them to my roster of places to eat when visiting. Then recently I came to Va Beach for a visit and Tony’s was gone heartbroken but not deterred I knew Kevin’s would satisfy that craving and was not disappointed as i know Kevin once told me he grew up on Tony’s and took it as a compliment to be compared to Tony’s.
I have to say Kevin’s is outstanding. The chili is just a tad spicier and that is OK with me . The place is full of locals as i was once one of those locals and I love it. Service is quick and fast and the dogs give me a feeling and taste that only brings back fond memories of living and working in the Norfolk/ Va Beach area a long time ago…….Customer for life…. now if i did not live in Philadelphia…

No frills. No frufru. Just damn good dogs. Very simple menu. The Norfolk is a natural casing dog. Chili goes good with it. Warning: the chili does have a little heat to it. Not the I’m going to die heat, just enough to remind you that it’s chili and not cooked ground meat. Free refills on drinks to help with that Had the pot salad. Cold and delicious like God intended. Don’t let the location bother you.

Finally tried this place the other day! For some reason waited 3 years since my work is 10 doors down lol. Came back again today already and Man, GREAT staff, love the vibe and the food was fast and fantastic. I’ve gotten the chili “all beef dogs” and fries. Bangin’ for sure. Quick, Tasty, affordable!
