Reviews
The food is also outstanding and delicious. We got the twice baked potato, crab dip, carbonara, rigatoni, and lobster ravioli as well as a cinnamon cereal cake for dessert. Comfort food at its finest.
Thank you so much again for everything. We can’t wait for our next trip to Carmel so we can dine here again.
Nora’s at Carmel delivers the kind of dining experience that stays with you long after the last bite. It’s not just the food—though the food is extraordinary—it’s the warmth, generosity, and genuine hospitality from the staff that elevates the entire evening. You don’t just feel welcomed here; you feel looked after.
Creamy Spicy Rigatoni
The spicy rigatoni is the kind of dish that makes you pause mid‑conversation. Perfectly al dente pasta coated in a velvety, fiery sauce that balances heat with richness—it’s bold without being overwhelming. Every forkful feels intentional, comforting, and deeply satisfying.
Slow Chuck Roast
Then there’s the slow chuck roast, a masterpiece of patience and technique. The meat practically melts, infused with deep, savory flavors that only hours of slow cooking can achieve. Paired with its accompaniments, it’s the sort of dish that reminds you why slow food is worth the wait. Honestly it reminded me of the my grandma back home.
Hospitality That Feels Personal
What truly sets Nora’s apart is the staff’s presence. They move through the dining room with an ease and sincerity that makes every guest feel like a regular. Whether it’s a thoughtful recommendation, a quick check‑in, or a warm conversation, the hospitality feels heartfelt rather than rehearsed. It transforms a great meal into a memorable night. we cant wait to be back.
P.S: Perfect spot for a date night !!
The service was excellent as well. Attentive without being intrusive, warm, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is welcoming with the owners coming by to chit chat.
Nora’s is a place we’ll be talking about for a long time. If you’re in Carmel, this is a must-try.
God bless, Grandma Nora
Service was phenomenal. The staff, servers, and host all made you feel like you were a regular. I loved the ambiance of the outdoor and indoor. With the water in the background, birds chirping, sun lighting through, it felt like the perfect sunday.
We ordered the fig flat bread, clam chowder and artichoke, and crab dip. The fig flat bread was really good, with the bread having a nice crunch and chewiness to it. But it was too thick for a flat bread for my preference. And the honey was slathered too generously in some pieces. The clam chowder was quite good. Would’ve doubled up on that. But the crab and artichoke dip was alright. And it was really expensive for what it is.
Total, we paid almost $100 with taxes and tips for 3 dishes and 1 sparkling water.
Nora’s quickly became the highlight of our trip! The food was phenomenal — every dish bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The kale Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful, the carbonara rich and creamy, and the fig affair flatbread was truly unforgettable.
What really set Nora’s apart was the exceptional service. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel like family. We loved it so much we returned again during our vacation — and to our surprise, the owner recognized us and offered complimentary wine while we waited for our table. That level of warmth and hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated.
If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at Nora’s. It’s the kind of place that turns a meal into a memorable experience. We can’t wait to come back!
Once seated, our waitress was very outgoing and bubbly, she seemed genuinely excited for the options we chose to eat. We also overheard her with other tables and seemed like an all around great server.
We started with the meatballs which were delicious, the whipped ricotta was to die for! For the main dishes I got the lobster ravioli and my boyfriend got slow roast and biscuits, both very good. The biscuits were soft and not overly dry. The roast was juicy and tender. The lobster ravioli had a pleasing lobster taste and was creamy. For dessert, crème brûlée waffle, not much has to be said, 10/10 would eat again!! and again.. and again.
We came on a night when there were quite a few reservations but the host still managed to squeeze us in within 20 minutes.
