Noppagao is my family of 5 plus my brother’s favorite AUTHENTIC Thai restaurant in San Antonio (we drive past 4 others and have tried all 5). We came across this locally-owned and managed restaurant about 3 years ago. We highly recommend Noppagao. The food is always fresh, even the mango sticky rice. They have the black rice option, and it’s cooked perfectly most of the time (very challenging to find a restaurant that consistently cooks black sticky rice well)! We get different dishes every time, as we enjoy them all. Salads are refreshing and delightful. Stir fry dishes have fresh veggies that aren’t overcooked. Wonton soup has both chicken or pork options. Many dishes have vegetarian option. Sometimes, the restaurant is closed since the team is on vacation. They do post signs on the doors, and they try to give ample notice (at least 2-4 weeks). Very clean. Refreshing drinks! We love their lemongrass tea, Thai tea, and Thai coffee.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Seating and service may be limited at times (max 2h seating limit), but they do their best to be quick and efficient (small knit team, all Thai).

They don’t speak English primarily, so please be patient and try to help them understand what you want. Their drinks don’t have boba options. Hot tea and soda are no free refills, but the iced tea, Thai Coffee/tea, and Lemongrass tea have free refills.

They close at 7:30pm eavery day (used to be 8pm), every Thursday, and the 2nd Wednesday of every March.

We always order something to go. Our bill before tips/gratuity is about $100-120 for 6-7 dishes and 1-3 drinks. The fish dishes are about $45 each; we haven’t tried these yet.

Place is small but looks new and very clean. We ordered spring rolls, summer rolls, Tom yum soup, steamed rice, and Three best friends. Food was excellent, fresh, and rich with authentic flavors. Service was good. Portions were enough for three people and prices were reasonable. Very much enjoyed dining here.

The food is great. My family loved the appetizers (fried spring rolls and dumplings). I level 4 of 5 Chicken Pad Thai and it was top-notch. My wife and daughter shared the beef Pad Thai and enjoyed it as well. Thai tea was a solid dessert to go.

This family-owned restaurant delivers on all fronts, from its laid-back atmosphere to its generous, flavorful portions.

The moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a casual, comfortable ambiance and a genuinely friendly staff that makes you feel right at home. The service is attentive and quick, but never rushed.

The menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of both classic Thai and Chinese dishes. It can be tough to choose, but you really can’t go wrong. We opted for the Pad Thai (medium spice) and the Red Curry (spicy). Both were a perfect showcase of the kitchen’s talent. The spice levels were spot on for what we requested—the Pad Thai had a pleasant, lingering warmth, while the Red Curry delivered a satisfying kick without overpowering the other flavors. Each dish was well-balanced and bursting with rich, authentic taste.

Portions are impressively large, ensuring you get excellent value for your money. The prices are more than fair, especially considering the quality and quantity of food. Noppagao Thai Cuisine is the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.

Delicious Thai food in town! I got the pad Thai with beef and it tastes super fresh. The portions to go are actually filling. Their sticky rice with mango is also a 10/10. I will definitely be returning.

My husband & I were wanting Thai food for lunch today, Sunday, and the place we usually like to go to when we are in town was closed. We were really glad to find this place, the food was delicious, fast, fresh & hot. The employees were very friendly & did a good job keeping our drinks filled. As a vegan it was as nice to see that I could choose almost anything on the menu & choose tofu as my protein option, all of the ingredients are listed so you can tell them no egg on the dishes that normally have it. We will definitely be back.
