Noodle Story is a fantastic Chinese restaurant located on Delmar, near Forest Park. My sister and I found ourselves here at dinnertime on a Sunday in mid-February 2026.  We were trying to enjoy dinner at Corner 17, but they had nearly a 2-hour wait.  So, we started walking to find an alternative.  We knew we wanted noodles, and that was the only standard.  Located right by the parking garage, we looked up and saw the sign for “Noodle Story.”  We stepped in the entryway and saw very few diners.  I thought that might be a bad sign, empty of customers at dinnertime, but I was quite wrong in my observation.  After taking a brief look at the menu, we decided to try it out.  The host led us through 2 rooms, upstairs, and into another dining room!  There were loads of people in each room enjoying a tasty dinner- a reassuring sign.

Once at our table, we viewed the menu using a QR-code on the table.  The symbol for Most-Popular helped me decide what to order- the spicy beef noodle soup.  My sister ordered the mapo tofu noodles with meat.  We ordered the pork dumplings as an appetizer (though it wasn’t brought to the table until after our entrees were served).  And we each ordered mung bean soup.  What an interesting thing to call that- as it seems more like sweet tea.

We were so satisfied with every part of our visit.  Each of our dinners was exactly what we were hungry for.  The pork dumplings were coated in a sweet chili oil sauce.  And the mung bean soup, served with ice in a big cup, did exactly as the placemat said it would- serving as a refreshment to cool your mouth between each spicy bite.

The space is decorated very nicely.  I loved the wooden chair design and the view over Delmar from the second story.  The space was clean and well-lit.

As for service, I wouldn’t exactly call it table service since diners order from their cell phone.  Staff was kind and helpful.  We’ll definitely be back!  I recommend going sooner than later, before they’re as well known as Corner 17, in order to avoid a future long wait.

There’s also a huge selection of beverages I’d like to try soon.

Loved trying Noodle Story out yesterday!
Delicious flavorful food, the noodles were AMAZING. We tried the pork soup dumplings which were so yummy and not too hot, the golden chicken noodle soup (which was plain Jane but I loved that they had soy sauce and chili on the table so I could spice it up if I wanted to), and the spicy beef noodles which was great too, the broth was so good! Great pricing as well. I will definitely be back again!

Best crab Rangoon iv had, dumplings are great. Would go back. Only complaint is you have to order off your phone and don’t care for the set up as they never got my order but they took care of it quick.

Our visit to Noodle Story in the Delmar Loop was an unforgettable experience — not just because of the food, but the atmosphere and thoughtfulness behind every detail.

From the moment we walked in, the space felt warm and intentional. The lower level is minimalist and clean, but as you walk upstairs, the space transforms — filled with art, culture, love, and soft lighting that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a hidden creative haven.

One of the most unique features is how you order: each table has a QR code you scan to browse the menu and order, almost like DoorDash, but right there in the restaurant. It’s modern, seamless, and surprisingly fun.

When the food arrived, it came out piping hot and incredibly fresh. Every bite was full of flavor — you could tell the ingredients were high-quality and made with care. The service matched the food: kind, attentive, and patient from start to finish.

If you’re in St. Louis and love good food with an artistic vibe, Noodle Story is an absolute must-visit. This place truly lives up to its name — every dish tells a story. ✨

We say in a table upstairs next to a window facing the street – a cool vibe. I got the Mali Tofu noodles with meat which was very good but felt a bit heavy. Try the spicy pork appetizer!! The service was also great.

I’ve purchased the spicy beef rib noodles at least 3 times. Each time the ribs have become fattier. Today half of my rib bone had only fat and skin. They were very rude to me when I returned the meal to express my concern. I even tried showing him and he yelled and told me not to touch the meat! He continued to yell and I told him I just wanted a full bone of meat. He told me he didn’t care. Therefore, I can no longer frequent a restaurant where they are rude and disrespect to their customers.

We stumbled upon this place on its grand opening day and decided to try it. The dining experience was fantastic. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I had the chicken noodle soup and my fiancée had the spicy beef noodle. Both broths were rich and flavorful with plenty of noodles and meat. The chicken and beef were tender and delicious. 10/10!! We will definitely be going back regularly.

Noodle textures were amazing and broth was deep savory. Meats in the soup were quite tender and seasoned well. I like to go back for trying other menu again. Building inside is very clean and spacious.

The Spicy Beef Noodles and the Mapo Tofu are my personal favorites here and all of the dumplings make a great side option. (Also love the option for vegan Mapo Tofu)

The interior is massive with an entire second story full of seating so there’s usually little to no wait to get seated.
