Perfectly tucked away in Chicago’s West Loop sits Nonna’s – an Italian grab and go restaurant. From made-to-order sandwiches and pizza to homemade desserts, Nonna’s menu provides delicious and convenient items to take on-the-go or enjoy at our counter and outdoor patio. Nonna’s kitchen is operated out of sister-restaurant, Formento’s, and is located next door just off Randolph Street.
Sister to Formento’s restaurant, this counter-serve has subs & salads plus house wines & sauces.

Why haven’t I gone here before?? Nonna’s made me rethink New York pizza, the NY fennel sausage slice was HUGE and SO good!! I typically have my Chicago pride and look down on it but wow that slice was so good! It was pretty quick and easy to get too. Next time I’ll order the whole pizza! The lemon bar was creamy and went down quick! They only have a seal space to eat in but perfect for takeout or get it delivered with one of the apps. Highly recommend!

I love Nonnas so much! I’ve tried their sandwiches and soup and they are delicious! I’ve had the cold cut, the drunken chicken, the kale soup and the tomato soup. The sandwiches are perfectly balanced flavors and textures and the soups have so many layers of flavor! They have gluten free bread that is good and not tiny!! And I called and asked what they have that is gf and they can make most of their sandwiches with grilled chicken instead of breaded (I didn’t miss the breading bc there’s so much flavor) and the soup comes with 2 slices of gf bread in place of their baguette. I get delivery and everything is labeled with a gf allergy sticker. Update: try the different mayos that they have they are amazing!

I was craving Italian but did not want to go far, so finding Nonna’s on the InKind app felt like a win win. I ordered the gem lettuce, lasagna, and a lemon Italian soda. Everything was filling and seriously delicious and the lasagna lasted me a couple days.
It is right next to Formento’s. The space is small with just a few seats, bright, and very clean. The cashier was very helpful and patiently answered my questions.
I would definitely come back.

This place is tiny so id recommend ordering pickup because there are only 6 seats. I had the monthly special prime italian beef which was delicious but $26 for 5 ounces of sliced prime rib is kinda ridiculous. I enjoyed it but after a small bag of chips, can of coke, taxes it was $34.. id never spend that again

The chicken parm sandwich is simply amazing!! Chicken breading is not too thick, the marinara sauce is very flavorful. The baguette did not get soggy, and it didn’t not hurt the roof of my mouth. Big portion too so one sandwich is good for two ppl! Definitely will be back

Had the pleasure of sampling two outstanding sandwiches. First up, the chicken parm sandwich, which truly impressed. The sesame bread brought a good crunch, and the thickness of the chicken was just right. The sauce was tasty, though a dash more fresh basil would’ve elevated it even further. Next, I tried the “What The” sandwich–a real flavor explosion. I’m typically not into eggplants, but the crispy, battered slices here were a game changer. The serrano peppers gave a spicy kick, perfectly offset by the spicy-sweet mayo.
Both sandwiches were substantial and satisfying. Definitely recommend stopping by to try these subs.

Nonna’s is easily one of the best spots in the West Loop. The pizza is perfectly crisp with just the right amount of cheese and flavor — every bite is spot on.
The turkey sub was fresh, generously stacked, and perfectly balanced. And the chicken sandwich was tender, flavorful, and done right. You can really taste the quality in everything they serve.
Great portions, consistent quality, and always a great experience. Highly recommend.

Best chicken parmesan sandwich in the city. Only for take out. Shared half and was stuffed, good value and good packing.

Incredible sandwiches.
HOWEVER, I ordered a “What The” on 8/13/25 and they changed the bread. Some colleagues also ordered sandwiches and noticed the change as well. I’ve attached pictures. The bread is noticeably smaller, less crusty on the outside, and doughy/denser on the inside. When I called to ask if this is temporary or a long term change, they told me the bread is the same.
I would love to know if this is just a bad batch and the person who I spoke to did not know or if there is a change to the bread. Thanks!

I’ve eating multiple items here but the best is the chicken Parmesan sandwich! Very much recommend. It’s great to grab a sandwich for an easy dinner with leftovers for lunch the next day
Lucky charm krispie treat and cookies are great as well! Lasagna is also good.
