I’ve been ordering from here since Nonna’s opened. Lately, the pizza has not been up to par. I ordered an upside down pizza. It’s so hard and crunchy that it makes it hard to chew. The dough seems like it was over-kneaded. It was just an extremely hard, dry and crunchy pizza. The Upside down pizza used to be our (kids & I) favorite but the last few times that we have ordered it…it’s been like it was today. Extremely hard, tough to chew and super super dry and the kids didn’t even want to finishes their slices. For them not to finish their slice of upside down pizza is rare.

The cheesesteak stromboli was good. I was told it was just steak and cheese so I was surprised that there was sauce inside. I ended up liking it and actually could have used some more sauce. The square slice of cheese pizza that I got on the other hand was horrible. It was cold, it had almost no sauce on it and it had a bad aftertaste. It was definitely not fresh.

Stopped in here twice over the last couple of months. The first time I ordered a cheesesteak and it was phenomenal. Everything was very fresh and well seasoned. They didn’t skimp on the ingredients at all!
I went back last week and gave the hot honey pepperoni pizza and loaded fries a try. The loaded fries were great but the pizza wasn’t my cup of tea. It was on the saltier side and the pizza was a bit too well done for my liking.

Public Service Announcement! I think I’ve officially found some of the best pizza I’ve had in my life. Yes! You think Brooklyn Pizza is great, then come to South Jersey and try this spot!!!! Friendly staff, wonderful service and amazing sauce! Plus, less than $30 bucks fed a hungry staff of construction workers. Most certainly great pizza takes a lot of work to make, and clearly these guys have got the recipe down! Whenever I’m in the area, I can definitely say I’ll be eating here more often.

After a long day as a vendor at South Jersey Geek Fest, my hubby and I were too tired to cook. Pizza was the logical solution. We also didn’t want to drive far, but wanted really good pizza.
I have been wanting to try Nonnas Pizza Deptford since they opened. The other day I saw on Facebook that they added the Trio Pizza (pesto, vodka, and original sauces) to their menu. I love pesto on just about anything, so I suggested we try it.
Now, I have two kids and not too picky, but they are hesitant to trying anything too… “exotic?” (for the lack of a better term). So we ordered the Trio Pizza for all of us to try and the Upside Down Pizza with Pepperoni to be safe. Please note that the Trio Pizza is not yet on their online ordering. You can order it over the phone, or like us, we went in person to order. We also ordered both as rectangular pizzas.
It was quite busy with most patrons ordering pick up. The tables were set up nicely, and the TV had college football on. The staff was friendly and all smiles. It was somewhat hot inside, but I’m sure they weren’t expecting it to be 80 degrees on October 28th!
We brought the pizzas home and dug right in. The slices were huge! So plan on either cutting them in half or only eating two. Verdict? Although the Upside Down Pizza was delicious, we all loved the Trio the best.
Looking at their menu and their Facebook page, I really want to try their chicken cutlets next. There is one sandwich on focaccia bread that looks amazing!
Obviously, we are going back. We didn’t have to drive far and it was really good pizza. This is our new local pizza place. Go. Try. It.

Our new go-to pizza place in South Jersey. The spicy pepperoni is absolutely fantastic, but we have tried a few different pies now and loved everything. Everyone who works there is incredibly kind and accommodating. We usually go into Philly for pizza, but having something just as good, that is also close to home is amazing. We need to try the sandwiches next!

I ordered a white pizza and mozzarella nuggets for pick-up. I was shocked that they only had one size for the pizza, but I figured leftovers. I was told it would be an hour for me to pick up, which was fine. I called 50min later to make sure it was ready, and they said yes. The pizza was warm, but it was definitely put on/near a warmer because the box was warm, and the cheese was not “melty,” but mainly because the actual pizza was not warm. There wasn’t a decent amount of flavor in the sauce, even though it is a white pizza, and you should taste the garlic. There was a good amount of cheese, and the crust was thin, which I liked. I thought the mozzarella nuggets would be bite-size nuggets, but they were your ordinary mozzarella sticks you could get from any pizza place. They came in a bag, which the grease/oil soaked the bag. The young woman who answered the phone was prompt and friendly. The cashier and the other young lady at the register were polite and professional. It’s a cozy restaurant with a smaller interior than most, but still cozy. There were drinks up front, by the counter for purchase. It seemed clean and kept when I went for pick-up.

Came for the hand sliced fresh rib eye cheesesteak, but I had to get a slice of pepperoni cup grandma’s pie, too.
The quality of the fresh ribeye really comes through. It was seasoned nicely, good disbursement of the cooper sharp cheese. I LOVE that they have some of those italian fried hot peppers on the tables. If I had to nit pick on the cheesesteak, I would have liked it filled out a little more on the roll, even if that meant a little more long hots or meat. The sesame roll was good too! Overall, this is a very solid cheesesteak.
The star for me is that pizza though. The pepperoni cups were perfectly crispy while the dough, oh my goodness, that dough, it was crunchy on the edges and airy in the middle. Get the pizza! Next time I go I want to try a chicken cutlet sandwich as the owner told me they are hand made in house super thin and delicious.
Great people at Nonna’s. Definitely worth checking them out!

Pizza and garlic knots were pretty good. We ordered the vodka pie but thought it tasted more like a regular sauce but it was still good. It’s a thicker and crispier dough. I would come back and try other pizzas on the menu.

I heard such great things about this place and was so eager to try. I went with the Nonna’s original pizza. I was disappointed, it barely had sauce, did have cheese, but was mostly dough. I thought maybe I can make it into garlic bread as seemed more like a focacia bread. I ate one slice. It was very very dry.
