I went to Nonna‘s last night for the first time with my family. Wow what a pleasant surprise. This is the first time since I left Chicago that I feel I had a 100% authentic meal! From start to finish the portion sizes were excellent, they had signature cocktails that were amazing! The prices were surprisingly good! The staff was so friendly! Giovanni from Gio Dynamics was singing Italian/opera songs it made it so special!! What a great experience! If I could give you 10 stars, I would! It was 35 minutes from Matthews!! I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other dishes!

Dined here for the very first time just the other day. The restaurant is clean and the service is good. It can get kind of loud when crowded. The salad was good, however I would not recommend getting the house Italian dressing as it was flavorless. I had the Chicken Francese. It was good but not super filling. We shared an eggplant rollatini as an appetizer and it was quite tasty. I’ll probably get that as my entree the next time I come. With everything said, this seems like a solid choice for Italian at a reasonable price in the area.

It started poor and went down from there. Entered for the first time; two ladies chatting finally asked how many. I got an eye roll and they both went into the kitchen. Another young man asked us how many and sat us. Ordered drinks and calamari both were ok and timely. Ordered 2 pizzas, one of which was a bbq chicken and add pineapple. The pizza finally came but the bbq chicken pizza was missing the pineapple. We told the server and she said ok and went to the kitchen. She then came out with a cup of cold pineapple. We expressed that was unacceptable and she said she would have it remade. A couple of minutes go by and she returns with the same pizza with the cold pineapple and its juice dumped on the pizza. At that point I paid for what we ate and we left mid meal.

Great 1st visit for the most part. One of the best garlic knots I’ve ever had! They were so good that I was eating them without the marinara, and I’m usually a huge sauce girl! Greek salad was so yummy that I could’ve left the grilled chicken off.

We ordered the garlic knots which were very well done, soft and garlicky. Highly recommend the penne vodka and baked ziti. The service staff was friendly, the chef was very nice as they had run out of penne pasta and wanted to know our preference. However, I think the staff was able to make more penne. The pizza was nice but nothing extraordinary, it was almost like a thin crust. All ingredients were fresh and dishes were very good.

Their pizza used to be excellent. Not anymore. The mozzarella cheese, if it is real cheese, is hard as a rock and peels off the top of the pie. Very inferior quality. The sauce is tasteless, as is the crust. I was very disappointed after ordering 2 large pizzas. I have gotten better pizza from Papa Johns. They won’t be seeing me or my again in this lifetime.

If you live even remotely close to this restaurant you have to go for dinner. Authentic Italian food that is made with love. Family owned. Great atmosphere. The wife & I went for a date night (which is rare) & we were blew away with the hospitality. The owners treated us like family. Get dressed up with the wife & Go!! Get the special, have some wine & thank me later

This was my 2nd visit. It was just as good as the 1st visit. I tried 1 of there Grinders and a glass of wine. DELISCOUS! If you are considering going there or just thinking about trying them out … I say go for it.
