Service was exceptional, the staff is very welcoming and responsive. The space itself is small but it didn’t bother us. The food did take some time however the staff stated it’s because the food is prepared “fresh”. We order the double Pattie cheeseburger, Nashville Chicken Sandwich and the Not so hot fries which is Nashville chicken with Mach and cheese fries and coleslaw. The burger was great however the rest of the food was not. The fries were smothered which cheese and other sauces that just became a lot to eat. The chicken sandwich was okay. Would definitely like to give this place another try some time but not sure since the food was overall okay

We were excited to come try a new hot chicken joint around the corner from us after reading promising reviews. I honestly was not impressed. We ordered the loaded hot chicken fries which came with Mac and cheese and Cole slaw. The fries were drenched in so much cheese, they quickly became super soggy and we could not eat them. I could not find or taste any macaroni from the ‘Mac and cheese’. Also ordered the medium spicy hot chicken sandwich. The sandwich wasn’t bad, a bit too spicy for me tho and really made my stomach hurt after. Lastly, we ordered the lemon pepper wings. They were tasteless lacking flavor. This isn’t a sit down place. They only have a tiny barstool with 3 stools to sit in. I wouldn’t come back, only because I’ve had way better hot chicken around Montclair for the same price and a better experience without stomach issues. However, I give them 2 stars because despite the food not meeting my standards, their service was great and they frequently asked if the food was okay as we were eating.

The lady was very nice and took a lot of care getting our order right, which I appreciate. The place is very small inside, but they do have additional seating in the back which we did not go look at, so maybe it opens up a lot. Regardless, the main issue is the food. We got the fried chicken wraps with fries, onion rings, and mac and cheese. Now, these may have been called “fried chicken wraps”, but they were not fried chicken wraps. It was finely chopped chicken with an equal ratio of purple slaw. I was expecting a nice big chicken tender, but instead of tiny bits of chicken that, honestly, didn’t even taste fried to me. No crisp, crunch, or any of that fried flavor. The fries and onion rings were clearly frozen, but to be honest I don’t super mind that. But if you’re picky with onion rings, these aren’t going to appeal to you. The mac and cheese was on the bland side, despite having pepper sprinkled on top (for some reason). It was also kind of thin, and definitely not a hearty homemade mac and cheese that you might be hoping for. I would place it 1 step above Kraft, but 5 steps below homemade. Overall, I can’t quite explain why, but everything just tasted a little bit “off.” The wraps especially just didn’t taste like fried chicken or cheese (which we added for $1), but just… weird. Our stomachs started to feel a bit upset, so we stopped eating half way through. They have lots of stellar reviews, from people who seem to have mostly gotten tenders, wings, or sandwiches. So maybe the wraps just aren’t the right move, but that’s all I can speak to. (I did see a review mention, with photo proof, feathers baked into their fried chicken though, so take that for what you will). The prices looked nice on paper (13.99 for a wrap with fries/rings), but somehow it came to $49 for two wraps, mac and cheese and a coke and water. Considering that’s a pretty bare bones meal for two people, I can’t quite call this cheap. Nice people, but unfortunately the food is what counts the most, and it put a bad taste in our mouths… literally.

Stumbled on this place and was well worth it. Stopped in and sorry to complain but was like 95 degrees out and was like felt like 110 degrees a/c wasn’t working. But the food made up for it. Just right temperature and taste great. Had little spice kick to it which normally I can’t deal with spice but with this I was able to stand.

A friend recommended this place and we decided to try them out for my fathers birthday. We ordered their fried chicken spicy and regular, coleslaw, Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Everything was fresh. The chicken was seasoned to perfection and was very juicy. Customer service was incredible they even called me hours later to make sure the food met our standards. Highly recommend!

The fried chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and cooked to perfection. The buffalo wings had the right amount of sauce and kick. A great first experience at this family-owned spot—highly recommend!

Chicken was good, seasoned and battered well. A solid 4/5 the Nashville chicken sandwich was juicy and tender. I also got the 4 piece wings, I would go with the thigh next time not much meat on the wings, but still very tender and juicy. A little on the pricy side, but I would go back for a late night munchie. Wait for the food is about 20 mins: 7/10

Stopped by last week for the first time to check it out since I like to try out new spots all the time. As soon as we walked in the staff gave a friendly greeting and the food came out super fresh and crispy. The tenders were juicey with a nice flavor and the carrot cake was way better than expected. Will definitely stop by definitely stop by again in the near future.

Not Stop Chicken is a good spot to stop in and grab a bite to eat. The food is made to order and is worth the minimal wait for it. I chose to eat at the location and it did not disappoint. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with French fries and a beverage. The buffalo chicken was delicious and well-drenched in the sauce. The bun was phenomenal, as well as the fries. Portion is worth the price, and I would definitely come back again and order something else off the menu.
