Only has coffee and pastries. I arrived at 8:15. It appeared closed. They turned on the open sign when they saw me looking in.. They were clearly still setting up. I would have loved to support them be cause they had signs up supporting their immigrant neighbors and telling ICE to get out. But I try to eat healthy, so sugar and caffeine don’t cut it.

I was looking to get a good espresso for a while during my first travel to US. Finally, I found it in Nomadic Cafe. It was the best coffee I had in US, no doubts about it. Way better than what I got in any popular or fancy cafes.
I visited it again during my other travel to Minneapolis and I recommend it to anyone, who would like to try a very tasty coffee.

July 10, 2025 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My quest for great coffee brought me to the Nomadic Cafe in Bloomington, Minnesota. It was a wonderful experience.
The cafe specializes in espresso drinks made exclusively from Ethiopian beans. The beans are roasted on site and served fresh. The drinks are full bodied. I had a Spanish latte. It was full of rich flavor.
Our group shared an assortment of fresh baked pastries. The chocolate croissant, apple turnover and chocolate muffin were all tasty.
The staff at the Nomadic Cafe was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. They showed great pride in the business and gladly explained the operation from bean to cup.
The Nomadic Cafe is worth the visit, whenever you are in the area. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all around!

The iced marshmallow chai is amazing! There’s plenty of seating. I think this is a great spot to meet a friend, study/work, or even just sit and read. It’s clean. The employees are super nice. I’m excited to try more from their menu.

Overall a good experience. The building was a little hard to find as it was within the Zawadi building, but didn’t have a large scale sign advertising its presence. I only saw a couple of small paper signs/yard signs in the parking lot.
I got the Nomadic Tea with marshmallow – the person working described it as a Somali Chai. It was delicious, but definitely a sweet drink.
The table arrangements were very spaced out and it felt very open which was nice, but does also mean that seating is limited.
Very affordable for a local cafe/coffee shop with today’s prices.
It seemed like they were under a partial remodel, so the number of tables/chairs may expand, and outdoor signage may be added in the future, but that’s just based on assumptions.
Overall, I would recommend!

Got the mango matcha and it was delicious. The mango puree reminded me of mango Lassi and the matcha was sweet. Delicious.

I love the hot Nomadic Classic Tea. The spices and sweetness are both amazing. It’s my second time having this type of tea, but it was in another coffee shop, and this exceeded my expectations. My hubby had the Cinnamon Brown Sugar Flavor tea and it was good as well, using the same base as the Nomadic tea. Had the strawberry tres leches and it was good. Service is nice, friendly, helpful and quick. Thank you for a great afternoon tea time!
P.s. it was a bit hard to find the place, it has a small sign on the door.

This was by far the one of the most cleanest, nicest, well taken cared off, open seating, open concept Somali style cafe I have ever step foot in. When there one of the holy nights during Ramadan and it was so beautiful seeing everyone there. It is truly on my top ten Somali spot to revisit when I come back to MN. We need something like this in Chicago.
