The Mediterranean dishes here are amazing. I loved the fresh salads, Kufta Kabob served with rice and pita, and the falafel with hummus is a real treat. The lamb kabob is flavorful, and the baba ghanoush is definitely worth trying. The staff is welcoming, and the overall dining experience is delightful. This place is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys great food.

Stepped into Noma Bistro by Al Amir on a super hot day and immediately appreciated the comfortable, casual atmosphere. The AC was just right, a welcome relief without being overly chilly.
Our culinary adventure began with the BBQ Chicken Pizza, and wow, what a flavor explosion! Seriously, it was incredible. A huge shout-out to the reviewer who posted a video of a cheesy BBQ pizza, that’s what sealed the deal for us, and we’re so glad it did!
Next up, a Falafel Sampler. The falafels were a tad on the crispy side from being fried, but the inside delivered that classic, perfect falafel taste and texture I absolutely crave. My partner, ever the connoisseur of good food hunts, went for the Chicken Gyro. I knew it was a winner when he started eating with his eyes closed, savoring every single bite.
We also enjoyed their Greek Salads. Not your typical, overly complicated Greek salad, but a wonderfully simple version that still perfectly delivered the authentic Greek salad flavor we were seeking.
It’s safe to say this is officially our new go-to spot for pizza, and we’re excited to slowly work our way through their menu to discover more fantastic finds.
If you’re looking for a casual spot with flavor-packed dishes that are simple yet incredibly satisfying, I highly recommend Noma Bistro by Al Amir!

I stopped by NoMa Bistro while traveling, and it was the highlight of my trip. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming and warm.
A special thank you to our server, Ahmed, who provided top-tier service. He was friendly, attentive, and everyone made us feel like family.
The highlight of the meal was definitely the fresh-baked Damascus bread—it arrived warm and soft.
Everything was delicious and 100% Halal. If you are looking for authentic flavors and the best hospitality in Columbia, this is the place. Highly recommended and can’t wait to come again.

Plenty of parking on side of building. Walked in and was greeted promptly and instructed to take a seat wherever. Drinks come in plastic disposable or styrofoam cups. So not very sustainable. We ordered and their wood fire started. Cool view. It smelled amazing! We were served the side salads first and then the entrees. The kabob is the better deal. Juicer and more flavorful. The chicken pascha was okay, not as juicy but the tzatziki sauce helps. Pita was good, rice was greasy. Server did not offer refills. Overall, pretty good, but don’t feel the need to return.

Amazing! We did takeout for New Year’s Day. Our first time having Mediterranean food. We got a lamb gyro, lamb Shawarma, fries, stuffed grape leaves, baba ganouj and Damascus bread. The woman who took our order was fantastic! We told her it was our first time getting Mediterranean food and she told us we definitely needed to try the Damascus bread rather than the pita because it’s so good, she was right! She also recommended another dish to us that we bought, but I don’t remember what it’s called. It was definitely some kind of ground beef over top of saffron rice and pita and then in the same container there was a really good hummus and delicious spicy feta. 10/10 way to start the new year! As expected, the tzatziki is to die for

Noma Bistro by Al Amir is one of those places that’s easy to overlook until you try it, and then you wonder why you didn’t come sooner. It’s a locally owned Mediterranean spot on Main Street with a menu that’s simple to navigate, consistently fresh, and full of options that work for a lot of different people. It’s halal, and they also have plenty of choices for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free diners, which makes it a great pick when you’re meeting up with a group.
The food hits that perfect “healthy but still satisfying” lane. The shawarma, gyro, and falafel options are all solid, and the build your own bowls make it easy to get exactly what you want without it turning into a heavy lunch. Everything tastes like it’s made with care, and it feels like the kind of place you can make part of your regular rotation.
Service is friendly, the vibe is relaxed, and it’s a great option whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout. If you’re in Columbia and want Mediterranean that’s reliable and genuinely good, Noma Bistro is absolutely worth a stop.

First time eating there today. The staff, especially the waitress, was awesome. She made us recommendations based on our allergies, likes, etc. Food portions are generous and the flavor is great. Will definitely go again!
