Honestly pretty good ramen and I love that they have vegetarian options. But the staff need to be better trained when it comes to food allergies – specifically celiacs. They had no idea if the soy sauce had gluten (and didn’t check) and for some reason they think MSG is gluten (… It’s not) and then didn’t warn us about the other gluten products that were used as toppings. Luckily I am not gluten free so I really enjoyed the veggie ramen bowl. the broth was good and the staff was nice despite not being educated about celiacs. Very odd location too, not very inviting or a cozy spot to sit.

I really like Nom Nom Noodle. The specials are always interesting, the staff is always nice.
The specials are always trying to break boundaries in a fun way mixing classic flavors with bold ideas. When the special are good, they are great!
I am not a huge fan of the venue being at the VFW. I atmosphere is quiet and reserved but the vibes are more underground and modern. It feels like me and a few friends should be sharing a beer having a great time, but the venue keeps you hushed. Just an odd clash.

This was our first time here! The pictures I’ve seen always look so good so we had to try it. Got the pot stickers with a peanut curry sauce and chili crunch, birria ramen, buffalo chicken and bleu cheese beer cheese ramen special, and the pork belly buns. They brought us an order of crab rangoons for free – they didn’t have to do that, that was so kind. Everything was great! The food presentation is 10/10, flavor and freshness is 10/10, and the customer service was 11/10. Will be going back again! They have limited hours so thats why we hadn’t been before, glad we made the time to go for lunch.

This was my first time at Nom-Nom but it won’t be my last. The Mega City One Street ramen was easily one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I like spice and the medium was perfect! I know people rave about their other dishes but this one was so unbelievable I’ll never be able to order anything else. Seriously.

It’s the only place you can get a great bowl of ramen! You can’t go wrong with the most basic thing: pork belly ramen! It’s amazing! Their rotating specials keep the experience really fun.

I had been wanting to go here for a while and I finally did! I ordered the Pork Belly Ramen and it was delectable. Very filling portion. I loved every components in my bowl. I honestly thought at first I would be able to finish the bowl but I literally could not because of how full it made me immediately. The atmosphere was a bit weird. I didn’t like the restaurant’s location it felt like a high school cafeteria. At first, when I entered the parking lot I was really confused on where the restaurant was because you had to enter the building first before you see it. Overall, great food, I’d probably go here again.

What an awesome lunch spot. The ramen and rice and noodle bowls are filling and good……real good. A bit expensive, but worth it sometimes. The taquito was fun.

Highway Robbery. For Asians, run away, coming here will disappoint you far more than getting a D in a class. Driving 50 minutes to Champaign and going to Midsummer Lounge is the more psychologically sane option. I came in with mediocre expectations, and left disappointed. After coming in, I left unsure whether I had entered a spinoff of the goldilocks and the three bears story. Hot Ramen, a classic. Cold Ramen, a market for many. But Lukewarm Ramen? Unlike the goldilocks story, lukewarm ramen will never be “just right”. Lets start with the good, and the list is composed of just one thing, the chashu, it was pretty good, i’ve had better, but overall it was the only highlight. Next, the “eh I mean i’ve had much better, and I’ve had instant ramen”. The broth FLAVOR is egh, I could’ve just made some instant ramen, but not the worst I’ve ever had. The honor goes to a restaurant somewhere in Hawaii where the broth was so nasty I developed a childhood fear of Ramen in the US. Finally, lets start with the bad. As I mentioned before, lukewarm ramen broth, cold toppings, and improper noodles. Have I made Hiyashi Chuka, left it on my counter for 30 minutes on accident? Well the ramen here reminded me of that. Toppings, each and every single one of the toppings were lukewarm, and I couldn’t even push the toppings into the broth, because the 2nd law of thermodynamics dictates that the flow of heat must travel from hot to cold. I am a mere mortal forced to utilize the “sunk cost fallacy”. Look it up, 19 dollars? I was tempted to simply go to McDonald’s and grab a Big Mac because I would’ve had hotter ingredients there. The noodles? Were they bought from meijer? It wasn’t so good and it was “flat”. Will I ever go here again? Well because my experience eating here has reminded me of the Hawaiian Ramen restaurant interpret as you please. It asks below what dish I would recommend. I would once again recommend driving 50 minutes to Midsummer Lounge over in Champaign.
