The Cajun salmon melt was delicious, a lot of good flavors and textures in the sandwich. However, I was hoping for a little bigger sandwich given the price ($13). Service was a little slow, but it’s understandable given it was football day and there were a lot of customers.

No matter what you order it will be tasty! Love that you can order half and half on the sweet potato and traditional french fries. They have seating upstairs and downstairs. Prices are reasonable. Its always busy but they get food out fast! Dont forget to grab a sweet treat when you are there!

If you are looking for a delicious sandwich, look no further than Nodo. Both the downtown and the North Side location are 20/10
I’ve been enjoying this establishment since I moved here (2015) and it’s excellent. Every. Single. Time.
Ham and Mango is a fan favorite. I literally crave this sandwich. It’s buttery, chewy, perfectly crisp on the edges sourdough bread with juicy, sweet and salty ham, mango, and gooey cheese. Do I have photo evidence? Probably not because I can’t wait that long to dive in.
My husband enjoys the burger, and the bacon. My parents love the C&P. During the 2020/2021 closures, this was regular lunch takeout and I tried almost everything on the menu. It’s all very good but the ham and mango will always be my default.
We always order one regular and one sweet potato fry. The aioli is perfection. The cookies are huge and sweet. Big enough to split but no obligation to do so 😉
I don’t have anything negative to say about this place. The building is a bit eclectic, but that’s part of the charm. The downtown location does have the trouble of parking. It’s worth it.

A-mazing!!! Best little sandwich shop!! These might have the best sweet potato fries I have ever eaten! Everyone in our group of 7 had sandwich or wrap that they loved. Love the college town vibe. Restrooms and more seating are upstairs.

Food was great and very reasonable. I would like to highlight the chicken avocado sandwich. It was out of this world in the half-and-half french fries go for it. You won’t regret it. Highly recommended if you’re in downtown Iowa city.

Stopped in today for my first time. Ordered several sandwiches to take home. We enjoyed everything, but hands down my favorite was the #7 Ham & Mango. I’ll definitely be back for that! Wow – so good! Already want another one!
The regular fries and sweet potato fries were both really good and came with a delicious aioli sauce for dipping. I’ll be back for that, too!

I freakin love Nodo! Always have. It is quaint and small, but mighty. The food is homemade and delicious. The salmon patty is sooo good and the fries with garlic aioli is even better. The fries are a must while visiting. Prices are really good too!

Tasty on all counts. Does take a bit to get food, but that is what it takes to make the food delicious as it is clear they don’t just microwave and slap things together.

Staff are great. The interior looks very beat-up in places and could use a bit of a makeover, but if updated atmosphere isn’t important to you, the food and service make up for it.
