When we were there, we tried the west coast wrap and it was full of greens and grilled chicken, goat cheese and pistachios.
Fresh food, made to order.
One goes up to the register to order and then you wait while they fix your food and then you take it and go sit down. They are multi-level, it’s narrow and not excessively deep, but there is quite of bit of seating for two people or four people and even if you’re just by yourself. There are larger tables up stairs, (they have two floors) The restrooms are on the second floor, as well. Stairs are used to access the second level.
They also have very tasty drinks.

I went to this Nodo location the other day with my boyfriend because I love the food and service at the downtown resteraunt, and were greeted at the door very rudely by the man working. After we ordered he told me he would bring the food out to my car. We were waiting in the car for more than 30 minutes, so my boyfriend went back into the building to see what was taking so long. He stood at the door waiting because they ask customers not to come in, all of the workers were just talking to each other and once of of them saw my boyfriend they packaged the food and brought it to him. I am very disappointed considering the great customer service at the downtown location.

NODO has some of the best ‘craft’ sandwiches in Iowa City. Unique delicious combinations. Staff is very friendly. A bit tricky to find the first time, but definitely worth stopping in. You will become a regular customer.

to be honest, the fact that your eatery is right by an ace hardware store makes me very uncomfortable. i can always smell the plastic and cedar wood while i’m eating my salad. it does not go well with my coffee. no one likes drinking coffee while they can smell plastic and paint just across the street. not a very good sight either. please move your restaurant.

This is place is a hidden gem. They have amazing sandwiches, don’t be turned off because it looks like they are in a hardware store. The place is awesome. Try the sweet potato fries and garlic aoli.

Ive had Nodo about 10 times now and it just keeps getting danker every time. Great balance of ingredient that makes the mouth water at the thought of Nodo. One of the best joints in all of Iowa. I recommend the Nodo Pork sandwhich but hell its all flame!!
