No Wake Cafe is a floating family restaurant/bar open April thru September. The cafe features indoor and outdoor seating along with 11 courtesy boat slips. The courtesy slips are for our boating customers coming in by water and are first-come-first-serve. Almost every weekend during the summer months you can come down to the No Wake Oasis and enjoy a live band to go along with the great food and cold drinks. The menu features everything from fast and easy hamburgers to nice juicy steaks,fish,lobster tail and crab legs. Better bring your dancin’ shoes!

Took my mother there for her birthday on a Friday evening. We tried to order the ribs.They said we’re out of ribs. So I said what about pulled pork nope out of pulled pork. The waitress said, sorry, we are out of ribs.We are out of pulled pork.We are out of brisket. So I said I’ll take a side sampler. Decide sampler comes with ribs and jalapeno poppers so I said, I’ll take that, since you don’t have ribs, can you double the chicken, please. They said yes. She shortly came back saying no jalapeno poppers. . So I said, please double the shrimp then. My brother ordered a side salad and it was rotten.There was three dead flies in the salad bar. They charged him full price. The marinara sauce they brought for the shrimp was rancid. . We ordered loaded steak fries.They brought out fries with just cheese and said, sorry.We’re out of sour cream and bacon, but charge us full price anyway. Beware there’s also a automatic 18%Gratuity. So be prepared to have a automatic tip of $10 to $20 dollars. No, matter how poor the food was or the service. Really disappointed . Would not recommend

Very fun place, good food, great service and excellent entertainment! They had a band on the patio called “Bourbon County Revival” from Fort Scott, KS. We went for dinner at 7 PM but stayed until 11 PM. The boats cruised into the docks, lights on the lake, a beautiful moon rose over the hills of Cedar County, Missouri. Perfect evening!

Party of 8 – food was not great, but wasn’t terrible. The service was appalling bad. Waitress kept saying she’d been working since 7am – we got there at 3pm. She did have ample time for cigarette breaks and chit-chat. Made sure to add on the 18% for parties over 6 though! We’ll never go back.

Our large family has come to No Wake every summer for the last 5 years and it has steadily declined. This year was so bad we have already decided that we will not be returning. It took over 1hr to get the appetizers, and then the food showed up shortly after. They didn’t sayy theyvwere out of bbq until aftwr we’d spent 30min staring at the menu. My son’s Philly was lukewarm and served on a hamburger bun. My other son’s KC steak chewed like it had been boiled, with a bad mixed blue box of mac n cheese. Their side of “fresh” fruit was clearly a can of fruit cocktail. A Loaded Baked Potato was a plain potato with shredded. Cheese and then butter and sour cream was brought fornus to add to it.

Service was terrible. Our waitress came back to our table three times to ask us what we ordered. We were there for an hour and a half. And then Only received half our food, then they came out and told us the kitchen closed, which left 3 adults in one child in our group of 10 without their meals. We have gone to this place on family vacations for years and it is something we look forward to. But it has changed substantially since last summer the menu is different and the food is nothing like it used to be. They absolutely did not care that we didn’t get our food and that was our dinner plan for us and our children.

Food was embarassing. Chicken sandwich was fried breading with minimal chicken on texas toast, no sauce, lettuce, tomatoe, nothing. Forgot to give food for half our table and then said kitchen was closed, so waited over an hour to not feed us. Then they still kept the automatic gratuitity on our tab for a group greater than 4, despite only feeding about 4 of us. This is the only bad review i have ever written for a place; it was that bad. Its quite the shame because the atmosphere on the water is nice.

Had dinner at No Wake Friday September 16. We were a group of six, and sat outside. Weather, service and food was excellent. Would love to give a shout out to our server, but can’t remember her name. All the food was excellent. The cooked veggie combo was the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend! Thank you all for a wonderful time.

This is the second time we have been for lunch and the second time it has been a disappointment. Last summer we came in for lunch and I ordered the fish tacos. The place was not terribly busy, we ordered drinks, beer and Margaritas. The Margaritas were not very good. Food came for everyone but mine came well after everyone had eaten. The fish on my tacos were very greasy and grey in color. Horrible. I told the waitress about it it, I could not eat it. They took my meal off the bill. We decided to try again this past Saturday. It was not busy. My husband ordered a Double Cheeseburger with fries I had the BLT. The food finally came and we had to ask for utensils. His burger did not have lettuce, tomatoe or onion like everywhere else puts on the plate. The waitress didn’t even ask if he wanted it, or mentioned that it might be extra. It was a $15.99 burger…and yes, we are well aware that prices have gone up on everything, but for that price it should COME on the burgers! My BLT did not have mayo on it, NOTHING. ONE slice of bacon and one small sliver of tomato. It was $11.99. The amount of fries that came with both of our meals were very small portions, and very greasy. We paid $50.00 for lunch. We have gone to The No- Wake several times in the past and always willing to give it another chance, but not willing to sink more money into a place that has been around for years and should have all these types of issues that I read about, ironed out. WAY too expensive for what you get.
