Have been coming here for the last 20 years! Food is always fresh. Portions are perfect & the service is quick! The food is also seasoned to perfection, not too much or too heavy. I usually do take out and find that they always pack everything well!

It’s a warm and inviting place that wherever and whenever I travel outside the country and want a place to come home to, I always can call No.1!

Based on the reviews I decided to give this place a try. Boy am I glad I did! I have ordered my favorite chicken with garlic sauce from numerous places around Toms River and even though they all list it with the indicating spicy it has never had any kick anywhere else. No. 1 China was perfect! Just enough heat to be noticed without overpowering and it tasted fantastic! The wonton soup was another very pleasant surprise because it not only tasted great it had those thin strips of pork that it seems no one else in the area uses. My only very small complaint was the egg roll was cooked a little too long but I suspect that was a one off based on the perfection of everything else. I can’t wait to go back and try another dish. Highly recommend!!!!

The wonton soup was very bad. Had an orange/dark brown broth which was very heavy on the salt. The dumpling wraps were good, but the meat was also salty and very dark for pork. They use the same for the steamed dumplings, not anything different. They are huge pieces and 1 or 2 can be per person as an appetizer, yet they give you 8 at a cheap price! The soy sauce is way too garlicky and couldnt get ride of the taste with just a little. The sweet and sour chicken platter came with fried rice and an egg roll. This was a very good price and can feed 2 people. It tasted the same as every other Chinese restaurant’s; so average for that meal.

I thought long and hard about this one, and even gave it a day over. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. I ordered on a Friday night around 9, and the person taking my order made it obvious that they were considering whether they wanted my business or not on a Friday night. I only ordered here because my usual spot was closed and I will NEVER order from here again. Took, 50 minutes for delivery;which ain’t the end of the world but, the person taking my order didn’t make me feel comfortable. And on top of that, the food was just bad. Like how do you mess up egg foo young? My egg patties were burnt, I can tell my sauce was sitting. Spent $30 with tip to toss my food. Horrible experience.

Ordered dinners here before and they were always amazing, so decided to place a large catering order for a birthday party. Every person in attendance was SO impressed. I thought the price was fair for what I expected to receive, and then when it arrived I was shocked by how much food there was. Every tray was packed to near overflowing. It was double the amount of food I expected. Everyone left with full stomachs and to-go bags! Would definitely order again and I expect a lot of my guests will be changing their Chinese restaurants to No. 1 China.
