This was my first time at NLA Cafe andnibwas there for breakfast. I ordered one scrambled egg, hash browns crispy and biscuit and gravy. They came out with the egg as boiled and I said that wasn’t mine. It took quite a bit of time to get the order. It arrived and the scrambled egg was hot and good, the hash browns were just warm and the biscuit was actually cold. I just went with it. The prices are good but they added a $1.50 fee for crispy hash browns, I asked about it and she said that was an accident. So over all if it had been hot very good.

NLA (Nixa Livestock Auction) Cafe is a little jewel just waiting for you to discover it. Friendly staff do a great job welcoming guests and delivering quick, kind service. Very clean restaurant with a few fun decorations and signs by the register.
Can be busy at times, but that’s how you know it’s good cooking. Simple,tasty, home-style breakfasts of eggs, pancakes, meats, hashbrowns, biscuits & gravy, and the omelets are great, too. I think I’ve had about every breakfast item they serve, and it’s always friendly, fast service and tasty meals served up hot.

My team and I ordered to go from here for lunch today. We have tried this place several times and thought it was good. However, today we ordered 4 burgers all medium well. We ordered them medium well, because we have received burgers pretty done before. Well we get our food and the burgers are so burned we couldn’t even eat them. I had to cut off the bottom part of the patty to be able to eat any of it. We all ended up throwing away half our burgers due to it being so tough and burned. The fries were cold, flat, and not appetizing as well.

NLA Cafe instantly took me back to that late-90s, home-cooked diner feeling that’s hard to find anymore. The kind of place where the food is simple, comforting, and made with care, not trying to be trendy, just done right. Everything tasted like it came straight off a family kitchen stove, and the atmosphere felt warm and familiar. Friendly service, hearty portions, and that old-school diner charm that makes you want to come back again. They also use Toast for payments, which made paying right from my phone quick and easy. If you’re craving real comfort food with a throwback feel and modern convenience, this place absolutely delivers.

Best breakfast in town! Lunch is great also. Staff wants to make sure you are happy with your meal. Friendly service. I have never eaten at a cafe that makes sausage gravy like my mom’s. This place hits the spot. Everything I have tried has been awesome.

We stopped in for breakfast and got their French toast special and let me just tell you we got 2 loafs to take home AMAZING! Staff was very friendly and place was clean. Highly recommend trying them out. Hot sauces are also really good.

I should give it less as I was warned about cold bacon and lack of service, coffee refills etc. But I gave it a try, benifit of the doubt try. My experience: eggs were okay, bacon was okay, coffee refills…on point with a smile. Hash browns, oh boy!! So bad I couldn’t even eat that card board mess. Don’t think I will be back. I wish I had pics to post.

Stopped by NLA Cafe under its new ownership, and I’m happy to see it’s still the same great spot! Lorri, one of the new owners, now works there and brings a friendly, personal touch to the place. Everything feels just as welcoming as ever. Definitely worth continuing to support!

A cozy step back in time. Everyone was friendly and the staff took great care of us Food was plentiful and did not disappoint. Coffee topped off on the regular. Our son had pancakes bigger than his head. My 2 eggs over med w/ hash and sourdough toast was perfect and the Mr. had chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy so he doesn’t need to eat again for a day or two! Asked for hot sauce and our neighbor patron handed us some and the waitress thanked him by name.
