Njörðr is the Nordic God of the sea. Very fitting for this restaurant location since right across the street is the sea and they are tucked away enough that they are a safe haven from weather related issues the sea can bring.

I’d give this spot a solid 3.9, the food was good though maybe not what you’d expect – less fusion more an array of Nordic/Swedish courses on one side of the menu and Asian dishes on the other. Served tapas style, you can get a bit of everything but they aren’t really “fused” together themselves.

Unbelievable Experience!! From the moment I walked in I knew I was in for a memorable trip! The Nordic and Asian fusion flavors blew my mind. From the first bite to the last sip of Don Golden’s menu choices had me traveling to a different part of the world! Excellent service, beach front views and the presentation on the drinks! This is not your regular restaurant. We made a request for the chef to choose all our courses, and he did so with coming to us and explaining every course, and even the history behind the courses. Don is a master chef. This is probably the best food I have ever tasted in MA. The prices are WAY too low for the quality Don brings. There is no higher level of food…the prices are just mindbogglingly low… insane quality.

The menu may seem intimidating and not what your craving at first glance but if your brave enough to give this place a chance, the fresh and flavorful small plates expertly prepared by Chef will win you over. There are definitely plates that will not pair well together so my advice is to take that into consideration before ordering.

Nice dining experience with excellent Pilsner Urquell beer. You’ll be fine with about 1.5 dishes per person. We liked some and didn’t care too much for other dishes, so hit or miss.
