Had amazing fish and chips but came with regular fries instead of the chips and salmon order had the right side. Order was wrong . The crème brute was goodness.Bear had detergent taste, some others not available and peach drink was bad.

I’ve been here several times for dinner and lunch. Great location in the heart of Niwot, parking is ok though it can get full simply because of all the shops and restaurants in this area. Staff is always friendly and we get great service and they have a nice menu with several options. This time we came for lunch and I got the Salmon sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. My friend wanted grilled cheese which was only on the kids menu but the waitress was able to get her one with a choice of American Cheese or 3 cheese blend. Our other friend got their grilled chicken salad. The food seemed to take a little longer than usual but fortunately we weren’t in a rush. My sandwich was very tasty with a nice juicy piece of salmon and the fries were delicious as well. Overall a nice lunch with friends and I’d definitely come back here again.

My friend and I had a late breakfast early lunch there at around noon on Saturday. The restaurant was pretty empty at that time and we sat outside at a table under an umbrella.
I had a gyros which was phenomenal really in taste and in looks. Jewels had a salad with spinach and said that her dressing was a bit on the mustardy side.
Their prices are a bit high, especially for lunch however, the food was very fresh and I appreciate that fact.
Sometimes you just gotta spend extra to have fresh, tantalizingly yummy food.

Service was really upbeat and friendly, but no check-ins for drinks even sitting at the bar. Food came out super fast, but not in like a super fresh way. I really didn’t enjoy the meatloaf entree, but the Cuban was much better. Everything was really gray and bland besides the corn (?) it was served with. Pretty cool bar area, though. Definitely got a locals-only vibe.

We celebrated our Anniversary there and the lady server was so nice to gives us tequila shots on the house. Food is always good there! Staffs are friendly. Just a little side note.. the balance vegetables are too dry when served.

Gyro is good. They specialize in their corned beef sandwich for lunch. Noisy at 12 noon until about 1:00 pm when lunch crowd clears out. Gets noisy again around happy hour. Service is excellent. Separate checks were easy for our server who did not need to write anything down about our orders!

I had been wanting to make the drive up to the Niwot Tavern to try the El Taco Grande. It’s a long drive from where we live, but it was worth it. I don’t know anywhere else you can get a taco that’s bigger than your face. It wasn’t just the portion size. The taco shell had a nice crunch, the meat was well seasoned, the cheese was finely shredded and the veggies and salsa were very fresh. Thanks Niwot Tavern. Someone in our party also had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and they loved it as well.

We were staying right around the corner for a night and while we are frequent visitors to Niwot, we hadn’t been here before. As we’d heard only good things about the Tavern, we dropped in for mid-afternoon snacks and a drink. The drinks were fantastic and reasonably priced and our appetizers were excellent. We thought the guacamole was much better than expected. The service was also very warm and friendly. We enjoyed our first visit so much we went back for dinner when we found that our favorite local place was closed for the evening. Dinner was even more enjoyable than our earlier visit. We will be back soon to try some more of the excellent food and service!

Great local watering hole!!! Girl’s afternoon for appetizers turned into ordering a lot of food and drinks! The tortilla chips were nice and hot, my fish tacos were SO GOOD. Great service. The only thing that was a ‘miss’ was the deviled eggs had too much mustard for our liking. But everyone has their own recipe!!!
