Nothing special about Nino”s. $12.00 for a cheese crisp w/very few minimally scattered green chili”s (clumped at the center of the tortilla only) was startling, and two slices of the crisp didn’t even have any green chili’s-
it was outrageously overpriced, but I ordered it anyway hoping to be surprised-I was, but not in a happy way. Taco salad was also a disappointment-boring, bland tasting, and soggy to the point of liquid soaked tortilla bowl before I could finish-couldn’t”t even take it home as it was too ruined. Very few tortilla chips in the bowl to begin, no salt on the table, nor any spoons for the salsa and hot sauces-these should not have to be asked for, but forks do not work well for hot sauce.
Our servers were very pleasant, efficient, attentive, and busy with every guest at the restaurant, so that was kudos to them.
Overall, I won’t be going back, as personally, this restaurant is overpriced, had bland food, and no atmosphere. It was very busy with other diners, but maybe it’s because it’s convenient and close to the neighborhoods and is a sit down place? It’s definitely not because of the food or pricing. Photo is of my soaked taco salad which I had to leave. You can also see some of my cheese crisp with the lack of green chili’s!
I wasn’t even asked how my dinner was, just presented with the bill. I did leave a good tip as service was good.

On January 27, we came to restaurant. Sign on door says closing at 7pm. It was 6:40. We did go in and host said he would check if we could still be seated and served. After checking, he assured us it was not a problem. We got seated. Our waters and chips and salsa were immediately served. Waitress was in a hurry it seemed and slopped salsa out of side of the dish spilling on table, menu, and my hand. I asked for some napkins. She came back, handed napkins to me… no help with cleanup or apology for her spilling.
Moments later she returned and we were told we needed to order “now” as they were closing soon. We were rushed to choose something from the menu. It would have been nice to not feel rushed.
Waitress said they were out of guacamole. My husband then stopped a different waitress if there was any substitute for not getting what was supposed to be on his entree. She supplied sour cream and was MUCH more pleasant and courteous than Maiyah, our server. Our food was prepared well and good amount of meat which was a plus. Our advice would be eat here but not past 6:30… a half hour before closing. Maybe Nino’s should not accept patrons after 6:30 if they are doing cleanup, mopping, etc. Maiyah needs to have a refresher course on slowing down and making customers feel welcome…even if we are the last customers of the day.

Cute busy little place tucked in a shopping center. The service could not be better. The prices are very reasonable. I am sure they are catering to the elderly transplants around there, but the food needs more spice. The chip and salsa while good need some more heat 4/5, guacamole dip very fresh same 4/5, Mexican pizza 4/5, soft tacos 4/5, and taco salad 4/5. Unfortunately didn’t get to try the margaritas.

Decent restaurant in a low traveled shopping center in Sun City area. No frills interior, older crowd. Chips were bland, no salt, same for salsas. Wife enjoyed her taco salad and my chimichanga was huge was pretty good. The beans and rice were awesome! Service was a little lacking even though not busy at all.

Food was good as usual but for the first time the service was bad. We were seated and waited awhile for chips, salsa and a drink order. 3 other tables came in after us and got immediate service before us. I had to wave down the waitress and ask for service and she got really snippy with us. Our food came and we asked for guacamole and she totally ignored us until asking a second time. Very disappointing. If we get the same waitress again I’ll have to ask for a different one.

Went here for the first time today and it has been the best Mexican restaurant I have tried here in Arizona so far, I got the Enchaladas and shredded beef taco with rice and beans, our waitress was fantastic, the bathroom was very clean. I will definitely be back in the future it was so delicious!

I have been waiting for this place to open for a very long time. The original location is very good and this one is MUCH closer to me finally opened!

I am so happy and so is my belly!

Their chicken enchiladas are outstanding. One of my favorite dishes. One reason why is that the chicken is made with “green pepper sauce” which is a secret green chile based sauce. So. Bam! That right there is worth the 5 stars. Add to that, the management and servers are very friendly and welcoming and the new location is super clean and is nicely decorated.

I can’t wait to bring my friends!

Update 10.3.25: Green chili burrito covered in green sauce is a new favorite. My husband is also a tamales fan now too.
Original: The chili relleno was incredible. Actually my whole meal was top notch. Incredible service from start to finish. If you need a spicier salsa just ask and they’ll bring you the hotter one. Definitely coming back!

Great spot with a good happy hour! Came in after a hot day at the pool for a frozen margarita (mango was on special) and some food. The margarita was amazing! Tasted so fresh and not like a premix. We ordered the bean dip, a taco salad, and the #16. The enchilada was my favorite! I also love that they pay tribute to a fallen officer and police in general!

Excellent prices. Friendly wait staff. Drinks were so so. Free chips and salads was nice, although the salsa wasn’t very good. Food was hot, but slightly below average. Ambiance inside the restaurant leaves much to be desired. There unfortunately is no patio.
