They need to limit how many people can order pick up – there were 30 people waiting, crowding the people who were sitting at tables.
Updating this to a 1 star after another hour (2+ hours total) of waiting after my original ETA. I called to tell them if they haven’t started yet to cancel it and they insisted that it was being prepared, also made a sassy comment about why everyone was ordering so much tonight, but 50+ minutes later they still didn’t have it ready or an update on it (hostess didn’t think it was close to ready). It does not take 50 minutes to make two sushi rolls with no specialty ingredients on it. I would’ve understood if they allowed me to cancel but lying about preparing our order left a bad taste in my mouth.

My fiancée and I ordered an >$100 order here on DoorDash (on Valentine’s Day) and watched our estimated delivery time climb exponentially for over 2 hours. We attributed this to them just being busy for the holiday. Our dasher was waiting there and sent us a picture of the mob of people there with pending orders, but DoorDash gave us a credit to continue waiting so we did. We finally called the restaurant to ask the status of our order and we were told that they were “so busy they didn’t confirm our order” and it hadn’t even been started yet.
This blatant lack of care, professionalism, organization, and respect is repulsive.
I have eaten/ordered from here many times before, but never will again after this disgraceful experience.
There are a lot of great sushi places in the area, I’d recommend going to literally any other.

Some of the best sushi I have had in a while. A smaller-sized restaurant, what one would call a hole in the wall, and very hard to miss, but you don’t want to! The sushi was so good. It gets packed, and on weekends it’s busier. It might take a few minutes to sit, but we got our table in a few. The customer service is very on point, and the food comes out quickly on order. It does cater to a lot of pick-ups and seems to be quite busy. We ordered a sushi combo platter and a very delectable dragon roll and mango roll which was new. I also tried a Japanese soda for the first time! A place to recommend.

I have only done take out at this restaurant but the food is delicious and fairly priced. There aren’t too many good sushi places in North Brunswick so I am glad this place opened up. I love the chicken tempura sushi and the gyoza.

Been here twice first time I walked in it was someone at the booth greeted me and I place an order, came back because the food was good I had the hibachi steak and shrimp. A couple of months later I came back walked in and no one was at the booth which was fine I stood there and waited for someone to come while I sat there and waited at this point a good 5 minutes went by there were 3 men in the back talking while preparing the sushi. You would think that they would have said I will someone will be with you in a minute nothing at all just kept looking up at me and continuing on with their very rude conversation. it’s called multitasking someone could of tapped a bell, one of them could have went in the back and got the host or something .at this time a good 10 minutes went by and I walked out they obviously can care less which is fine by me and I’ll get my sushi somewhere else

Hostess/receptionist is extremely rude and unprofessional he is very hostile and confrontational as if he is giving free food away…if you don’t like customers maybe get a new job… customer service sucks and they take forever to attend to the guest and extreme long wait for the food… everything is 5mins away from being done more like 2hours later…forget about refills one cup and your done lol staff are often just standing around not doing anything or eating… Sakana sushi and other local spots are better… avoid this location!!! And Mister at the front desk change your nasty ugly lil attitude although it suites your face! Grump grump!!!
