I’ve been coming to Niko’s for a while now, and at this point it’s my go-to spot whenever I want a real cheesesteak. The quality is always consistent — fresh bread, perfectly seasoned meat, and just the right balance of toppings every single time. You can tell they actually care about what they’re serving. If you’re looking for a cheesesteak that hits every time, this is the place. Highly recommend.

Niko’s Steaks sits in a three-store strip mall in Clifton Heights. They have parking, inside seating, and a bathroom — three things you know I like.
Sidebar: I’ve got a fun’ish story from about 50 years ago involving the intersection right in front of Niko’s. That’s a story for another day.
I ordered my usual cheesesteak with fried onions on a seeded roll. While ordering, I watched them make another cheesesteak. I liked that they cover the meat while it cooks. I was a little concerned watching them layer and fold the meat together as it cooked.
I took my cheesesteak over to Ship Bottom Brewery Blendary and Barrel House in Swarthmore. When I unwrapped it, I could tell immediately this was going to be the tale of two cheesesteaks.
Top bite: meat and roll.
Bottom bite: cheese and fried onions.
Now, after watching my own video this morning, this might actually be the tale of three cheesesteaks. The leftover half looks like it has a lot more cheese and onions — and that half is looking very promising.
Also, I absolutely love the off-season hazy sour from Ship Bottom Brewery.

I’m from South Philly, so I’m pretty familiar with a good cheesesteak. I was having a hard time finding a good one that wasn’t cooked with frozen chicken slices up here, and I decided to try Niko’s out. Man, am I glad I did—the chicken is fresh, not frozen! They cook it to perfection and offer a seeded roll. This is my new go-to spot for a chicken cheesesteak. Do yourself a favor and try them out; you won’t be disappointed.

Order a mushroom cheese steak from here and as always they did not disappoint. I get double potion of steak becuase I like mine hefty even with that it was only 20 dollars. The seeded roll is the star of the show and that’s saying a lot becuase the steak is seasoned well and its a good quality of steak. Best cheese steak in delco and it rivals your favorite spot in Philly (I’ve been to them all)

Decided to try after seeing some really great reviews. Boy, those reviews did not disappoint! Excellent cheese steak. I especially like that the meat has a coarse chop as opposed to a fine chop. Fine chop meat is like groind beef. Great roll, too. Perfect ratio of bread to meat to cheese. Will definitely be back!

Ordering online by scanning bar code in the menu is easy, they deliver without any issues. My favorite roast pork sandwich topped with broccoli, sharp melted cheese. I assume they put it in a salamander because it’s toasted, delicious! DELICIOUS…DEEEEELICIOUS!

Hands down the best chicken cheesesteak in the area! From the Corropolese fresh seeded roll to the well-seasoned, juicy chicken topped with Cooper sharp cheese, this chicken cheesesteak was delicious! Very flavorful and generously filled too! The staff were attentive and extremely friendly, restaurant was very clean. Highly recommend!

Easily my top 3 cheesesteak places in the Delco area! Nice meat to cooper sharp ratio, perfectly cooked onions so the sweetness comes out, fresh seeded Corropolese roll. Ask for their hot sauce! I easily devoured half in minutes. Service is prompt and friendly in this family-run establishment. Can’t wait to go back for their pork sandwich —their broccoli rabe is made from scratch I hear!

I was recommended this spot and it did not disappoint. Just from seeing pictures from reviews I could tell it was going to be good. Cheese steaks have lots of flavor and the roll was nice and fresh. Cheese fries are good as well and the prices aren’t bad at all.

Good amount of food. It reminds me of Pat’s or Geno’s on a seeded roll but Niko’s does better seasoning. Some of the meat was dry and I wish there was more cheese but it was a solid steak. There is limited counter seats so take out might be a better option. The interior is nice and new. All of the food was fresh. Friendly staff. I plan to come back.
