Absolutely incredible pizza. The crust is perfect with a light crunch, the sauce tastes fresh and truly authentic, and there is a perfect balance of cheese and crust on every slice. The toppings are always fresh and flavorful without being greasy.
This place is part of Newport’s history, not another new restaurant trying to compete. It’s a must for anyone looking to experience true Newport history.
The staff is friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is clean and comfortable, and you can tell they care about their customers. This is a place I look forward to coming back to and recommend to everyone I know.

Nikolas Pizza in Newport is a solid choice if you’re craving delicious pizza in a relaxed, no-frills environment. The crust is perfectly crispy, and the toppings are fresh and generously layered. Their classic cheese pizza is simple but flavorful, and they offer some great specialty pies that will definitely satisfy any pizza lover. The staff is friendly and quick, making it a great spot for a casual meal.
The atmosphere is cozy, and though the dining space is a bit small, it adds to the charm. The only reason I didn’t give a full 5 stars is that the wait times can occasionally be a little longer than expected, especially during peak hours. But it’s well worth it for the quality of food.
Overall, a fantastic spot for a great pizza in Newport! Definitely recommended if you’re in the area.

Honestly was pretty disappointed by all the items. We waited 40 minutes for food (which if the restaurant is busy is a normal time) but half of our food was cold ?
There was a hair in one of the pizzas but the service was great and they accommodated us.
We also tried the gyro platter and a greek salad (never heard of a greek salad having lettuce) but it was all pretty mediocre, especially for the price

Warm welcome, diverse menu, great energy. I had the fig/prosciutto/goat cheese calzone – the small one, which was a very generous size. My new favorite! My friends had an Asian salad and a veggie calzone and both were very happy. We were on our way to a concert, let the waitress know, and she made sure we had our food in plenty of time so we could enjoy it and still make the show on time.

We went to Nikolas Pizza for the first time 15 years ago. Every few years we drive up to Rhode Island or Cape Cod and make a point to go see if Nikolas Pizza is still there. We just love the pizza we are from New Jersey and we probably have more pizza places in New Jersey they anywhere in the country. It is still a thrill to go and have a pizza here. The food is consistently good 15 years later. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is always clean. It is still owned by the original owner, who works there everyday.

I visited Nikolas Pizza in search of good pizza and cold beer only to find GREAT pizza and ice cold beer! I had the prosciutto and fig pizza with a Stella Artois and it did not disappoint! Perfect crust, fresh Arugula and goat cheese! Service was exceptional and my food was out quickly, Nicole and Arianna were my servers. They both have great personalities and were very professional. Nicole recommended that I choose the prosciutto and fig pizza. I will be visiting again!

Dined here in Dec 2024, pizza was excellent! We ordered a small bacon & onion. The regular (Greek) crust was crispy and tender. The bacon was in small strips and was thin and crisp as well. The Diet Coke was flowing. Perfect lunch spot for a day out in Newport.
Edit August 2025- back in town for a summer tour and we had to go to Nikolas again for pizza. While we were sad to see they aren’t open for lunch (now open at 3pm), the pizza was still 10/10. The crust is so light and crisp! Now a perfect dinner (or late lunch) spot in Newport.

Fell in love with this restaurant! While visiting Newport, looking for a good restaurant for dinner, we came across this pizzeria with great reviews! Nikolas is amazing. The wait staff was friendly and the service here is extraordinary. We Ordered an appetizer and 2 pizzas.

We went to Nikolas Pizza based on a retail owner’s recommendation. It was just the two of us but they did not give us pizza stand but they did for other people. Not sure what is about. We had the Horan’s Four Cheese, it was good. Waitress was attentive enough. The places was nice. bathroom was small but still had enough room. It had some cute modernized games and juke box.
