Make a reservation! Place is always booked out. We went Friday at 5 when they opened and couldn’t even get a table. It’s ok, we sat at the bar. Let me just start out by saying the bartender was awesome. I can not remember her name to save my life. Food was great. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and garlic knots for apps. Big fan of the mozzarella sticks. I ordered the cheese ravioli with pesto cream sauce and meatballs. Wife got the spaghetti with meat sauce. Was a great night with the exception of the person beside us walking out without paying his bill. What a deuce move. Felt sorry for the bartender.

I’ve been eating at Nicolas for 10 years now the ambience, service, and food is always top tier. Last night was busy, but we still received excellent food and service – lemon salad and eggplant relation pictured. Highly recommend this gem!

We have been coming to Nicola’s since they opened. The food is always consistent and very well made. They make their own pasta and desserts-YUM?!! We drive 45 minutes to come here so you know it’s good!! You have to try the chocolate mousse covered cream puffs that is the best thing I’ve ever eaten!

My wife and I had a great dinner here. We arrived without reservations but we’re able to be seated fairly quickly. The service was prompt and professional and the food was great. My wife is still talking about the fried mozzarella two weeks later.

Awesome restaurant! We were visiting Wilmington and wanted Italian food. We scored finding this place! The food was delicious. We really appreciated the house-made pasta.. what a difference that makes with the texture and flavor of the pasta! The beef and mushroom risotto and bucatini were amazing. Our waitress Bella was one of the best waitresses we have ever had. Bella made our dinner experience and she was great with our kids.

This was my first time at Nicola’s, and I absolutely loved it! The customer service was wonderful, and the food was delicious. Portions are very generous, so keep that in mind when ordering your entrées.
The atmosphere was really nice overall — it was a bit loud for my personal taste, but if noise doesn’t bother you, it shouldn’t be an issue at all.
Just a heads-up: this place gets very busy (for good reason). I’m not sure if reservations are required, but I would highly recommend making one. Even with a reservation, my friends and I still waited a bit to be seated, and it was a full house. I can only imagine the wait without one.

My niece and I stopped by this restaurant on a Wednesday night after spending the afternoon at the beach. It was the perfect end to a beautiful day!
The food was EXCELLENT – my niece had the chicken Parmesan and I enjoyed the salad with the lemon dressing and the eggplant rollatini.
Large portion sizes allowed us to enjoy leftovers the next day!
For dessert we had tiramisu and cannoli – both delicious but the tiramisu was out of this world good!
Customer service was A+. It truly felt like a family restaurant.

Good food. I went there with my girlfriends for a birthday celebration and we all enjoyed our dishes. We had some garlic bread and bruschetta for appetizers and they were both delicious. I had the fettuccine in clam sauce, a glass of white wine, and some cannolis for dessert. The pasta is homemade and you can definitely taste it. The clam sauce was delicious and well seasoned. The cannolis were also very tasty and not overly sweet, which I prefer.
Our server was extremely sweet and knowledgeable. She took great care of our table and everyone was impressed by her promptness and kindness in making sure we were getting exactly what we wanted and how we wanted.
The restaurant atmosphere is intimate without being intimidating. There were quite a few other tables with midsized groups but it didn’t feel crowded. Though it’s an Italian restaurant, I didn’t feel like I was in one. Maybe that’s their twist.
