Food was the best part of our visit. Bread is extra, but comes with a lovely olive oil/tomato bruschetta. Lobster bisque was fantastic.

Pollo Mugello was slightly above average, Brassato was good, but peas and carrots were more than al dente. Gnocchi was tasty in the Brassato and you could tell it was homemade.

Torta Di Cioccolato for desert was good, ganache and icing were super but the cake was sadly dry.

Service was congenial, but our water glasses neglected on refill when that was one diner’s only beverage.

Party of two and they automatically added a 20% gratuity.

Good, local restaurant for Italian. Stick to the food and staples, it is
what they do best.

This gem on the north side of Columbus truly shines with both its cuisine and hospitality. Every dish we tried was crafted with care, bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors that left a lasting impression. From the first bite to the last, the food felt thoughtfully prepared, satisfying both the palate and the soul.

The service was equally remarkable — attentive, warm, and effortlessly professional. Our server anticipated our needs without being intrusive, making the entire dining experience smooth and enjoyable. The combination of delicious food, friendly staff, and inviting ambiance turns a simple meal into something memorable.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxed lunch, a celebratory dinner, or just a spot to savor high-quality fare, this restaurant stands out as a true highlight of Columbus. It’s the kind of place you want to return to again and again, where every visit feels just as special as the first.

We went here for Valentines day and we were disappointed. They had a limited menu and we could not order of the main at all. My wife’s seafood ravioli was served very dry, with the customer at the next table commenting negatively on the appearance. Her dish was barley warm. I had lasagna and it also barley warm. They do not offer bread service with your meal unless you purchased. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, with the overall cost, taste, and presentation of the meal.

Wonderful small plates during happy hour. Everything was good, except the bread. The bread had a closed crumb structure, without holes, and was soft like cake. Really nothing like ciabatta. The flavors of the dishes were restrained but authentic. Strongly recommend this restaurant, just don’t get the bread.

Atmosphere and service was great, but the food was a bit of a mixed bag. I loved my chicken dinner, but my wife had the Tuscan Nido, a large ravioli with a lemon-zest ricotta and butter sage, we were really not fans. We would not order the Ravioli again, but we would come back and try other meals.

I absolutely love the patio! They grow fresh herbs on the patio and have potted flowers.
The olives on the charcuterie board were so fresh and the tiramisu was delicious. It was a lovely place to go on a date!

They did such a great job creating the atmosphere, you can’t tell you’re right next to a busy road or that the parking lot is right next to their outside area! The patio is surrounded by trees and flowers, umbrellas! The string lights are a cherry on top! Service was amazing and so was the food! You can tell it’s all made from scratch! I had a huge lasagna but it wasn’t heavy!

Visiting Columbus for the weekend, I was looking for something quaint with a nice outdoor patio. I’m so glad I came across this restaurant. The patio was lovely surrounded by gorgeous flowers and plants. We had great and attentive service, our water was always filled and our server came around plenty of times. We loved the drinks and food and everything was delicious! I would definitely dine here again and would recommend if you’re looking for great Italian food with a great atmosphere.

Cute restaurant! We got our own little corner behind curtain, it was quite perfect for a group of loud kids and adults.

Meatballs and the sauces were very good!!! The other entrees portions are all too big. Seafood risotto was not bad, I would prefer the seafood not cooked so much that they were a bit chewy.

We all laughed over the one giant piece of ravioli, that was not expected. It smelled really good and was told that it tasted very good too.

They have a large menu of wine by glass and by bottle. Cocktail menu was pretty standard.

I would prefer here than any other chain restaurant, but there are also much better Italian out there.

I have been frequenting Nicola since they opened over 12 years ago. In all of that time, I have *never* had a meal that wasn’t entirely enjoyable. And everyone is friendly, including Nic and Speranza, the owners. I have seen some 1 star reviews and for the life of me I have to believe these were overdramatic. The restaurant is not inexpensive, so if you bring 6-8 people, it’s gonna be pricey. In terms of service, yes, at times it is slow. Take a deep breath as this isn’t McDonald’s. If you’re in a rush, let them know, but if you come in with a big entourage on a Friday or Saturday, be prepared to wait. KEEP SERVING UP THE AMAZING FOOD!
