I’ve ordered from this place many times, and it has never let me down. Tonight I decided to order ahead and pick it up myself. It’s only five minutes from my home, so everything stays hot and fresh when I arrive.
The slow-cooked rack I got was incredibly tender — the meat practically melted as soon as I touched it, so soft and full of flavor that I highly recommend trying it at least once. It’s the kind of meal that makes you pause and enjoy every single piece.
I shared the rack with my wife along with two sides. For my first side, I went with a hot, fluffy oven-cooked potato, prepared perfectly. They included cream and a light dairy spread, which was all I needed to finish it. I also picked the creamy slaw, which had amazing flavor. It could have been a little colder, yet it still tasted fantastic. The toast that came with the meal was simple, lightly crisp, though I didn’t eat much of it since the main meal itself was so satisfying.
If you’re unsure what to order, I strongly suggest the slow-cooked rack dinner — it’s hands down the finest in the area.

The best gyros I’ve had hands down. Every ingredient is fresh and complements the others perfectly. Along with Gyros We tried the full chicken and it was packed with incredible flavor. Even the sides are so good (baked potato, fries, loaded potato) that you could enjoy them on their own. Their vegetarian options like spinach pie and veggie pita are also surprisingly delicious. This is a family-owned business that’s been running strong for over 30 years, with some of the friendliest staff who have been there for more than 20 years. We had a great chat with Dean, who was super welcoming and made sure our order was perfect. Don’t miss their juicy baklavas an absolute must-try!

I have visited the restaurant in person and have always been pleased. But I wanted to give a shoutout for the catering order I placed for a holiday party for the apartment community I manage. The food was delivered on time, hot, packaged extremely well, nothing was missed. The girl who delivered it was so helpful she was even helped set up some trays as we were figuring out placement. The food was also delicious, we ordered ribs, chicken, pasta, and Greek potatoes. We will definitely order again! Thank you!

I returned after a few months and stopped by to pick up a slice of garlic bread for my homemade spaghetti. While the $1.95 price wasn’t an issue, I was surprised by an 85-cent fee to use my debit card for such a small purchase. What made it worse was when the employee asked if that was okay, after I had already questioned when this policy started. The owner, who was there, came across as condescending when I expressed my dissatisfaction. While they have great gyros and platters, charging extra fees for using a credit card is simply unacceptable.

Front the moment you walk in you feel welcomed. Rula took our order and recommend certain platters. As first time customers we were very satisfied! WE didn’t eat.. WE goggled. The Gyro plate is better than Greek-town Chicago downtown. Thank you for the recommendations Rula you’re the best!
HIGHLY recommend if wanting good authentic FAST Greek food!

Stopped here on our way from Florida to meet an client and instantly remembered why I loved this place when I used to travel for business. It’s just as good as I remembered and even better now that I got to share it with my family.
The gyro platter was amazing as always, perfectly seasoned and generous portions. We also had the Italian beef with jus and sweet peppers, and my daughter enjoyed a classic cheeseburger. Everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor!

I had a very pleasant experience at Nicky’s Red Hots today. They do a very good job greeting you when you step in. I ordered the Jumbo Hot Dog with everything on it and an order of fries. I didn’t have to wait long before I received my order. The Hot Dog was fully loaded with all the fixings and extra celery salt. I also had three fresh hot peppers on it as well. That’s what makes a Chicago Hot Dog for me. Reasonable prices as well.

Stopped by Nicky’s on Ogden Avenue and was blown away! I ordered the Philly Value Meal, and not only was it delicious, but the portion was massive—I couldn’t even finish it without asking for a to-go box.
The Philly was packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and the bread had just the right balance of softness and structure. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. It’s rare to find a place that nails both quality and quantity like this.
Friendly service, fast turnaround, and great value. I’ll definitely be back—this spot deserves way more attention than it gets!
