I went to Nicky’s yesterday after not going for several years. Nicky’s used to be my least favorite Mexican restaurant. Not anymore! Everything was SO delicious, so perfect. My beans and rice were piping hot and delicious. I got the single order puffy taco and added a side of beans and rice. The puffy taco was perfect. I got mine with the white cheese sauce instead of yellow. I enjoyed the salsa as well. The service was wonderful. You won’t go unnoticed. The servers are very sweet and super attentive.

I am from a Texas border town. I know my Mexican food. Nicky’s served good food. The service was outstanding and quick. The servings were large and the food was fresh and warm when served. Our server checked several times during the dinner to see if anything was needed. It was a nice dining experience. The restaurant and bathroom were clean.

Nice little restaurant just off the highway. Service was great! We stopped right at 5 so it really wasn’t busy. I had the fish tacos, although good, seemed like it was missing something. The taco was just a piece of grilled fish on a soft taco shell. No sauce or any other condiments. Came with your regular beans, rice and a guacamole salad.

After several years of not enjoying Nicky’s I decided to go again. What a horrible disappointment. First. The amount of SALT in everything was totally unacceptable. I could not eat it. Even the once delicious tacos were bland and even SOGGY. I gave up after a small sampling some of everything on the plate. I like my dog to much to give him the leftovers. Needless to say, no more Nicky’s.

We’ve eaten at the restaurant several times in the past always good experience we ordered in last night from Nicky’s ordered fajitas chicken and beef were extremely dry as if they had been made since lunch and just sitting on the grill this was a Saturday 5pm no reason for this anytime of day at a restaurant put a fork in me Im Done with Nick’s!!

The food at Nicky’s is fresh and authentic. The nachos are wonderful. Get the chili rellenos with cheese. The street tacos will make you want to come back for more.
