This cart is the real deal! It is no frills cheesesteak goodness. It’s been a while since I have been back to the East Coast, but this is how I remember it. Ed is from Pennsylvania and found the cheese steak scene to be lacking here and has really represented PA well. The classic Amaroso roll, thin shaved beef, cheese sauce (made in-house), and wit (onions). The cart is patriotic, classic rock tunes are playing, and Ed’s big personality really brings it all together. I also recommend the Boardwalk Fries (Old Bay, malt vinegar)!

We just so happened to be in Hillsboro and decided to enter the food cart area when we saw this Philly Cheesesteak cart. We have tried multiple before in Portland and were very disappointed but decided to try it once more because it claimed to be “The Only Real Philly in Town.” He was super friendly and we got our food very quick. It was amazing, the flavor was so delicious and he gave us options on the cheese! The vibes were awesome as he plays music for the whole food court and also has water and treats for your dogs. Would 100% recommend this place to everyone!

I grew up in the Philly area and have eaten more than a fair share of cheese steaks. East Coast Eddie’s is about as close to the real thing as you’re going to get in Oregon. I would definitely come back here next time I’m in Hillsboro.

If you want a true East Coast steak and cheese this is your spot! As an East Coaster I haven’t had a steak and cheese hit like this in years! Super friendly people and welcoming owners. Cute outdoor set up to hang while you eat lunch. Check out either location! You won’t be disappointed

Had my first Eddie cheesesteak here at the Tuesday market and it was so delicious! I haven’t had a good cheesesteak in quite sometime highlighted recommend extra “Wiz!”
