We were in Pittsburgh for a convention and discovered Nicky’s. We loved the food in there (extremely fresh fruit, and good breakfast dishes) and the service was amazing. We came back every day during the convention and the bartender remembered our preferences. Even Nicky came by our table to say hi!

In Pittsburgh for a conference. Lucky to have found Nicky’s. A geat old style diner. The real deal. Skip the Speckled Egg and keep walking down Grant Street to Nicky’s.

Coworker went with breakfast (all day) and got an omelette they were pleased with. I got the house salad with chicken.

Solid downtown diner option with tasty and affordable breakfasts. The restaurant itself is an interesting time capsule and a great place to relax and have a cup of coffee. As many have mentioned, you need to enter the office building and travel to the 1st/mezzanine level in order to enter.

What a hidden gem in downtown Pittsburgh. I saw the sidewalk sign on my way to work and a coworker and I decided to try it for lunch. I had the daily special, Quiche Lorraine with a small green salad and a fruit salad. My coworker had sausage, eggs, home fries, and toast. The food was good, the service was quick, and the restaurant was clean. It has a very homey feel. I will definitely go back.
