Just had a party of 20 people on a Saturday evening! Great Food, Even Better Service! Zero Complaints! Why don’t we go here more often was most frequent conversation at the table!

Food was tasty, and Nick’s does have some healthy options. I recommend the Spinach Salad. Service was kinda slow but not abnormal for this type of restaurant.

We saw the review about Nicks in a local magazine. We couldn’t wait to experience the place for my hubby’s birthday. The magazine had pictures of a polished posh place. Wow were we disappointed as we entered. We were greeted with a worn out appearance. Yes it was clean.. but very old looking. Like way back in the 50’s. With this look I was expecting a stage for performers or piano playing. Maybe even house music with oldies playing. There wasn’t anything inviting as we entered. We had to go looking for a hostess to seat us. We arrived on a Friday evening about 4:30pm after seeing a movie. We had the place almost to ourselves. One other party was present. Yet they had been open for hours. Our hostess did sit us near a window so we could see out. The menu was very basic. Everything was à la cart. We ordered the soup… which was good. The two tiny pieces of bread she brought us gave a great resemblance to a brick. It did soften after soaking it in the soup. Our waitress never offered to bring us more to have with the meal. I enjoyed the chicken parmigiana. Hubby had the fish. Both were tasty. As we were seated I mentioned it was hubby’s birthday and the hostess treated us to a free delicious desert. That was the highlight of the dinner. No we don’t plan on going back. Cookeville has too many other places with great atmosphere.

Overall very good dining experience. Our server was attentive and the prime rib was delicious. It was a little cool temperature wise but it is winter so with that large an area can see difficult to keep it really warm.

How does anyone make food taste that good?? Our new favorite place in Cookeville. Way – way – better than Mauricio’s and a little over half the price. But the bathrooms seriously need remodeling for style and comfort. Like really. The 1970s called and they want their bathrooms back.

My very first time going to a restaurant in Cookeville that was considered upscale. I was used to the restaurants in Nashville which they had a plethora of restaurants but it was nice I spent our dinner together there ❤️❤️❤️ I will be coming back The steak was tender and delicious and I waited her. Daniel was fantastic

First time at Nick’s since I graduated from Tech 30 plus years ago. The food was great and the service was even better. Will was our server and he did an excellent job. We had the chop steak and Mediterranean chicken paired with a side salad and a wedge salad. We will definitely be back.

18 years ago today we had our wedding supper here. Tonight we had yet another delicious meal to celebrate. Service was great and you can’t beat the cheese while you wait!,

If the only thing you care about is a good steak, this place will do. The steak is quite good. It’s everything else that lets them down, especially value for money.
