Upon walking in, our 1st impression was not great. The restaurant looked at bit in disarray and the pizza that was out to choose from, looked very dried out. However, we still ordered so we could give the benefit of the doubt.
My wife ordered a margherita spice and a ricotta slice. I ordered 2 pepperoni slices. My wife’s pizza came out decent looking. However, my spices came out burnt. Do you know the guy really was passing it to me like I was supposed to eat it? I asked him if he left it in too long and he looked at me and told me it was just placed inside. I told him that those slices were burnt. He asked me if it wanted me slices, I agreed.
Honestly, I would never give any customer burnt food to begin with. That is ridiculous.
Nonetheless, I got my slices. There was not condiments on every table which was annoying and there were 3 tables so close together, that it made it feel like they didn’t even want anyone sitting in them. Also, the tables and seating was filthy. There was hair and leftover crumbs from prior customers on the table. Oh.. they even let a man inside work his dog while he consumed food. That was nasty as I don’t know what. I had my wife change our seating because of that.
While we were there for at least 30 to 40 mins, ppl came in and out to use the bathroom without ordering. What is the point of putting a code on the door if ppl can just walk in and go anyway without purchasing. So back to the cleaning, no one wiped down anything for new customers as old customers finished and left. However, staff found time to talk amongst themselves and be on their phone.
This place might be poppin’ to some who don’t know better.. but it was a real let down because of it not being cared for as a eatery. Just disgusting.
As for the pizza, my wife said the ricotta slice lacked flavor. The pepperoni slices were okay had they been hot and not warm when given to me. The Margherita slice needed more. The pizza sauce needs more umph… the pepperoni helped to boost it up.
BUT… there are places that are absolutely worth the money—and this is one of them.
The pizza slices are HUMONGOUS. Like, cartoon-sized. If you order by the slice, you’re already winning. If you order a whole pie? Congrats—you’ve just fed 2, 3, maybe even 4 people (depending on how serious everyone is about pizza).
The place itself is small but lovely—very casual, cozy, and exactly what you want when you’re craving legit pizza without the pretentious vibes. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which is always a plus in a tourist-heavy area.
This is 100% a must-try if you’re in South Beach. My experience was great—and I hope yours is too!
I grew up on East Coast pizza and now live in Chicago, and the slice I had here last night instantly took me back: thin, foldable, with a crust that’s crisp on the outside and chewy inside, plus a great balance of sauce and cheese. The toppings taste really fresh. I’m in Miami for just a week and we’ve already gone two nights in a row, which pretty much says it all. They also have fun frozen drinks and gelato, which makes it an easy choice for a casual night out. My only complaint is that I don’t have a place like this anywhere near home, because it would be my go-to pizza spot.
We grabbed the pesto mozzarella cheese slice and it was absolutely delectable. The crust had that classic New York fold, crisp on the outside with just the right chew inside. The pesto wasn’t overpowering, it tasted fresh and bright against the melted mozzarella, which had that perfect stretch when you pulled it apart. Simple, balanced, done right.
What I loved most is how easy it is. Walk in, grab a slice, and you’re out. Perfect for beach days, late nights, or when you want something satisfying without the whole sit-down production. No frills, just really good pizza.
If you’re in South Beach and need a reliable grab-and-go option, this hits.

We had an excellent experience at Nick’s Pizza. The attention was outstanding from the moment we arrived . friendly, fast, and very attentive. We ordered the Margherita pizza and Nick’s pizza, and both were absolutely delicious.
The Margherita with fresh basil and cherry tomatoes had an incredible flavor, super fresh and perfectly balanced. Nick’s pizza came with a generous amount of pepperoni, perfectly baked, crispy, and full of flavor . honestly one of the best I’ve had in Miami Beach.
If you’re looking for great pizza, quality ingredients, and excellent service, this is definitely the place to go.
Highly recommended. We’ll definitely be back!
We ordered the white pizza, and it was extremely overcooked the cheese was dried out, the crust was hard, and the whole thing was tough to chew. It was super dry and had almost no flavor. We were honestly surprised because it smelled great in the store, but once we actually tried it, it was almost impossible to enjoy.
For the price 34$ a pie and the presentation, I expected so much better. Really disappointing experience.
If you are Italian on vacation and you want a slice pizza, fast but made with criteria, this slice pizza is absolutely recommended. A pleasant surprise in Miami!
