Nick’s Bagels in Litchfield is an absolute gem!

From the second you walk through the door, the smell of fresh bagels hits you like a warm hug. These are the real deal — perfectly chewy with that shiny, crackly crust that only comes from doing things the right way. I’m convinced Nick has a bagel wizard hiding in the back because every single one is amazing.

The staff are legitimately some of the friendliest people ever. smiling and grateful for your business

Do yourself a favor and get there EARLY. Your taste buds will thank you, and you’ll probably end up becoming a regular like the rest of us addicts!

The negative reviews I have read are simply ridiculous. Poor planning on their part..

I am leaving this 5 star review in an effort to drive the ratings up because ‘karen’ or ‘brad’ are pretentious on their 2/3 stars they left

The bagels are absolutely delicious.

Want to like this place but when I discreetly asked if any margarine or butter blend is used because of a severe allergy , the counter staff swears real butter is used on the bagels. I offered to pay any applicable up charge if two options were offered. Unfortunately my experience was absolutely the opposite. Greasy film coating my mouth and a swollen tongue. Text book restaurant depot style buttery blend product or their supplier is mislabeling the “pure butter”. I want nothing but success for a new business but I am disappointed by this experience.

Delicious large Bagels. Slightly crispy on the outside and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend for a true Bagel experience.

Nick’s Bagels is a great addition to the community. They make solid, fresh bagels every day right on site—hard to find that kind of quality and consistency anymore, especially in Connecticut. Not too many places left like this. If you haven’t stopped by yet, it’s well worth it. Fresh, local, and exactly what a bagel shop should be.

SUCH GOOD BAGELS. I love the French Toast bagel. You can get 6 bagels for about $11.

Grabbed a bag of bagels to go – GREAT BAGELS! Crusty on the outside and soft on the inside – these aren’t Dunkin bagels. Bravo, Nick’s!

First time here since they opened. I heard they sell out, so I made sure I went between 6-7am. They’re open every day 6am-2pm EXCEPT Mondays (the only day they’re closed). Very basic, no seating, take out only. No atmosphere, no music or radio. Woman ringing me out was nice, no one else said a word. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a French toast bagel. I would suggest getting double meat/double egg because the breakfast sandwich is mostly the bagel, They had a variety of cream cheeses but I had no idea what flavors were available because nothing was labeled inside the cream cheese cooler. I was happy with the French toast bagel, next time I’ll just get a bagel with cream cheese. They have a wide variety of bagel flavors to choose from. It would be cool if they did a French toast bagel with cinnamon and sugar on top, or a jalapeno and cheddar bagel.

-update- they did correct the prices finally, original prices reflected the quality, not so much anymore.

Breakfast sandwich was small and on the dry side.

Bagels were alright, but within a couple weeks of opening they increased the price of a breakfast sandwich 50% 4$ to 6 and change. (Also didn’t change the sign inside)
Can’t really blame inflation or egg prices when you’ve only been open a few weeks.
