I almost hate posting about how much I loved this place because it’s already a very busy restaurant, and I selfishly don’t want to wait in a long line next time we go. But I can’t hide an outstanding establishment like this – it was awesome! The staff was friendly and prompt, the food was beyond exceptional, and it was CLEAN! No sticky leftover syrup on the tables, no sticky salt shakers, the floor was well taken care of, and the bathrooms were almost spotless. It’s very easy to see that they have great management and the staff are a refreshing group of professionals that are proud of their work.

I ordered the chopped sirloin with grilled onions and mashed potatoes, and I was a bit disappointed. There was very little flavor in the dish and salt didn’t help much. The milk shakes are very yummy, and the cheese curds were also good. Overall good service and atmosphere, but the food could use an upgrade.

Stopped here for lunch today and sat for over 10 minutes without even being acknowledged. Watched the waitresses wander around by the prep station refilling their own water glasses while we hadn’t even been offered water or anything else to drink. 4 tables got served their food and 2 other tables that came in after us got their orders taken and we still hadn’t been spoken to since being seated. I guess if you aren’t a local then you aren’t worth their time. I was really looking forward to eating their but I will be hard pressed to step foot in there again. I completely understand why they have a help wanted sign in there window……..maybe they should start with the ones that are already employed there.

The only negative was we had a party of 4 and there was an empty table they only use for party of 5. Had to wait 10 minutes for a table of 4. Kind of a stupid policy to make current customers wait with the anticipation of a larger group that might not ever come. Food was awesome will go back just thought it was bad service to make us wait for no real reason.

Awesome crepes! Had strawberry and blueberry. The strawberry was to die for and the blueberry was good. Iced tea had a nice home brewed taste. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable and the other customers there all seemed like they were having a good time. You could tell that this diner is a small town favorite because a lot of the other customers knew each other. We were staying in Galena for the weekend and drove almost 30 minutes to eat here because I had a craving for crepes and we couldn’t find a diner in Galena that had them on their online menu. The crepes here really satisfied my craving! Would definitely recommend.
