I went to Nick’s for lunch today. The options were fried chicken, fried pork belly, rice, mashed potatoes, gravy, lima beans, liver and onions, peas, green beans, creamed corn, etc.
I didn’t have a problem with the food. I didn’t appreciate the dirty table and filthy hot sauce tops. I wiped the table and my napkin became glued to it. I wasn’t happy. I hope this is a wake up call for the staff in the front of the house. The little things make a big difference.

Honest review:
This is a hole in the wall, where the locals eat.
I tried everything they had available, all was pretty good. Could use a little extra salt and pepper on the food, but the usual crowd is the reason for that.
Star on the buffet was a creamed corn casserole.
Everything was clean, I think they should probably expand and make the bar more efficient, but apparently it’s working for them staying the same.
It will get packed up in here though!!!

Gosh I wanted this place to be better. I saw a southern-style buffet and had high hopes. I walked in and it felt like an old-persons home. The buffet consisted of one table with 8 food options and another with 2-3 dessert options. The food options were bland. I wish it were more to be spoken of!

Walking into this homey restaurant was taking a walk back in time in a way. It is very casual, nice seating, and reminded me of family restaurants back in the 1960s/1970s.
This is buffet style, with a small lineup of homestyle food. What is on the buffet is your options for your meal. Very good food, and easily accessible.
There is a 3 percent charge for using your debit card, but you may also pay cash.

Fried Chicken was best I’ve had since my Daddy died. It tasted an awful lot like his fried chicken. And the pork chop was as good as the chicken. The only other thing I ate was the squash. Next time I’m just gonna have meat!!
