My experiences at Newk’s are consistently great. Food out of this world. Service always great and fast. Atmosphere great.Service excellent. My last visit was charged a “service fee” with no explanation. Didn’t bother the staff (they didn’t come up with it) so decided to reach out to customer service. Website gave a choice of smiley faces to rate my visit. Called corporate. Answering service gives a web address but got a 404 message. Left two messages with marketing. To be clear EVERYTHING in the restaurant was five star team did a great job. edit: Buck was passed to store manger and he called me right away. “fee” is for using a credit card. Imagine printing “card fee” was deemed to complicated.

My husband and I came in for dinner tonight, and everything was fantastic. The food was amazing and the Christmas music made the atmosphere perfect. But what truly stood out was the customer service. Cristian, the gentleman working the floor, went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience.
You need ten more Christians in this place! We’re not locals—we live in Florida—and let me tell you, Cristian is exactly what great customer service looks like.

The only complaint I have is when I asked for the manager, the girl at the front said manager is not here. He’s outside somewhere. And didn’t try to get him or anything turned around and dismissed me.

I absolutely LOVE Newk’s. Hands down favorite. From the people to the food, they always deliver something special. Quality is on point and me being a frequent regular they are always on point. The flavor of the Caesar salad and the loaded potato soup is the best combination I’ll probably never get tired of. Customer service is good. Service was fairly quick. Restaurant was clean. Nice atmosphere. Music was a little loud. The turkey avocado sandwich was great. The toasted bread is so delicious. The shrimp po boy was full of nicely cooked shrimp (not fried which is nice). The ice tea is always good. The prices seem to have increased – more than $40 for 2 sandwiches and drinks with tip.

We had the Newk’s Favorite salad. This salad is massive and delicious. There’s always enough for the next day. I had the Newks “Q” sandwich with a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. Both were delicious. I requested crispy bacon on the sandwich, as usually it is not crispy. The sandwich and soup pair well together. It definitely filled me up.

I did and online order and when I arrived I was immediately greeted with a smile by Riley. My order was ready at the exact time it said it would be. Everyone seemed so pleasant and working swiftly. My food was delicious. Will definitely return in the near future.

I ordered 2 ultimate salads, one without ham. I asked a little after I ordered for ham on the side since my boyfriend likes the ham on his salad (extra ham). The lady who assembled the salads yelled very loudly, “HAM, I THOUGHT SHE DIDN’T WANT HAM!” And another worker laughed at her. If you don’t like working in any restaurant, I suggest choosing a different career path. If not, learn how to speak to the other co workers where the customers cannot hear you! I will not be returning to Newks in Tupelo, MS unless they get rid of her. I didn’t catch her name, but she is a tall, older African American woman that had a blond hair piece on & eye glasses.

It’s easy to spend a lot of money if you want a meal and a fountain drink or tea, but it is good, so we make it a special treat destination. Today I had the pick 2 combo of the pesto chicken sandwich and a Greek salad. Delicious! My kiddo had the sausage and pepperoni pizza (adult-sized because the kids size is tiny) and she liked it ok. She said next time she will get plain cheese because the sausage has lots of fennel seeds. The staff is friendly at the register, and even with Covid precautions, you can still ask for the extras that used to be out for the public (ex: croutons, jalapeños, sweet pickles, garlic). The tea is wonderful!
*The prices have increased on some menu items and the menu has changed a little recently. Today I had the soup and salad combo (tomato soup and caesar salad) and my daughter had the pepperoni pizza. We were both pleased and full. They have discontinued carrying the bread and butter pickles and we didn’t see the garlic, either, so we were sad of that.
